Nobody has yet seen the full 1.8 patch notes, so stop crying and wait for the patch notes! Nobody has said that AV is getting nerfed and vehicles will remain untouched. I am counting on the fact that CCP will continue with the vehicle rework; to all those that think that vehicles are finished with just 1.7, you are wrong! We are still missing a variety of modules and we were stripped down to the basics.
So please, shut up and wait for the patch notes

No, we get to complain about AV for at least as long as tankers wouldnt shut the **** up about not being able to buy god mode so we still have a few months left
