In 1.7 it takes all 3 std. packed AV grenades to destroy an unhardened shield LAV(methana's and baloc's would just laugh at you as they resisted it and drove away).
I fit these grenades on all my fits on the chance that I will run into an LAV that is a bit more persistent than most. Now they will all be able to survive the grenades and know that they are safe from them.

So wait for the hardener to drop... or run with someone who has a couple of flux grenades, then you can team any shield based vehicle into oblivion. |

idk where people are getting this "AV grenades are useless" bullcrap.
do you have any idea how many tanks I've solo'd using EX-0 AV grenades, REs, and an Allotek Plasma Cannon? they're not meant to solo vehicles. they're meant to be used as a finisher or a start-up.
for example, unless I put all 3 REs on the back of a tank, detonating them will rarely blow up a gallente tank, whether it be a maddy or a soma, but if place them, throw a few AV grenades, then detonate, it's almost a guaranteed kill. and if it's not, my Allotek Plasma Cannon finishes the job.
run the, with OTHER AV WEAPONRY and you'll find them to be quite useful, instead of expecting to be able to solo tanks AND stomp infantry at the same time.

While I don't like that we're limitng ourselves to 2 AV grenades...You should realize that youur beginning statement doesn't help you argue that. You're hitting a shield based vehicle with explosives...It's not an easy kill.

Learn to read.
Unhardened LAV will not die to 2 AV grenades.
EDIT: let me amend that. 2 lia dia packed AV grenades will not kill an unhardened LAV. |
