 Hey Guys,

General Discussion: Will weapon combinations still be relevant in 1.8? If so, will such combos be useful on all commandos? Let us know what you think.

With the changes to damage etc. for various weapons and to the proficiency changes also I think that weapon combos will become far more important in 1.8 than previously.

You should make a vid soon explaining upcoming changes and what your thoughts would be on it. I don't quite understand some of the weapon changes.

Sure thing, actually just finished recording the audio for a discussion video on the dev blog. I explain everything there :)

Hello again. I do think that weapon combinations will be more viable in 1.8. Especially in regard to sidearms, due to the prof. nerf and various weapon nerf the logi is going to feel the brunt of it add on to the lack of interest in the use of damage mods. With logis feeling that burn assaults will be better at 1 v 1 fights against the logi. and have a more flexible time finishing them off with the new weapons. Commando is another story but I have never had a problem with them using two types of weapons, I imagine they will focus on using two of the same racial weapons because of the obvious advantage it will be a matter of damage and how long you can sustain your health.

Some good points, I agree with you totally and in that respect I feel 1.8 makes the roles somewhat more defined. It does however have the potential to become heavy 514 hehe.

How about making a video of you brawling on the ground in the middle of the action instead of camping the roofs of every possible map?

 Yea I mad.

I understand it's good move but it gets old and very annoying.

Firstly, thank you for the feedback. I understand, I mainly use it as a squad lead position, to call out where the enemy are and command people to move to or from certain objectives etc. Subsequently it has become a bad habit, I agree. I also do this when getting red lined and try to defend the objective/DU's for the blues. I am looking to make more brawling vids come 1.8 with scouts and commandos so hang in there :)

Quite a valid point. Then again when Blues do the same in a match, we typical leave the roofs to them and jump into the fray. We just don't feel comfortable leaving higher ground undefended. Its better that we are up there than Reds.
