The Imperial Guard claimed it as ours...twenty minutes later it was back under Minmatar control.
State of FW -- BROKEN
The Gallente and Minmatar can pound their chests in pride all they want but I will only look at them in ignorance due to the fact that they dismiss that ONCE A FACTION IS IN THE HOLE, IT BECOMES EXPONENTIALLY MORE DIFFICULT TO DIG OUT OF SAID HOLE.
Currently Scotty will auto attack a district in order to drum up an FW match. Let's say that a faction only holds one district, Scotty will attack and attack and attack and attack that district until ownership flips to the faction that is control of the region.
In short it isn't skill that allows you to maintain complete control over a region, it is a broken mechanic that CCP has failed to rectify. For those who don't believe me, I challenge you to pull up the starmap and take note of what districts Caldar or Amarr hold then check it again in ten to twenty minutes, I guarantee you that they will have flipped control because Scotty will have them attacked relentlessly until control does in fact flip.
Also just a little FYI for you all...doesn't really matter if you're "stomping" the other faction on the ground, what matters is what is going on in space and we Amarrians have a very firm grasp star side so *ahem* "Minmatar, step your game up."
I could list the ways how we Amarr are better than you, but your lesser mind wouldn't comprehend it.

I believe CCP did acknowledge this was an issue and plan on changing it so that each factions gets a different percentage of attack contracts and defend contracts relative to their total control (so if you own 99% you won't be getting many attack contracts, so if the other side takes a district it will be theirs for awhile).
Currently the matchmaking is FW is always looking for both factions to get an attack contract and fills the other team in as defender, so if Minmatar or Gallente own 100% of the districts and then lose one they will start attacking that one district over and over and over until it falls. I know I personally have had occasions where my squad helped capture a district and then we had to defend it for the next three matches until we inevitably lost it again.
Mail me in game if interested in learning about the Amarr Empire and serving them in Faction Warfare.

Same happened to us tonight, and I also watched it on the star map as well.

Who cares? It's not like it'll affect anything yet. It's just a more 'hardcore' mode, if you will. |

Yeah and what makes me more proud that actually being the old faction to take and hold, as well as capitalize on the bonuses in a single blow, is that somewho despite the last few months of negative bonuses to Amarr FW fleet side.....their work is so good that they are continuing to hold off and dominate the FW regions.

It is actually affecting things too, even if just slightly. And even then we are able to look ahead to a day when it will affect things even more and realize that the current system for overall control is broke and start thinking up ways to fix it.
