I have a few die hard AR users in my corp, personaly I have proto in all 4 rifles and Use all 4 daily dependign on my mood or situation.
Oh and a Gek killed me today sooo...... OP!!!!!!!!!!!!
These forums must be located in the Californin country side, there is whine as far as the eye can see.

I still use an AR. I don't think its as terrible as people say.
However...compared to the RR and CR, who really worries about an AR anymore

I have level 4 in rail rifles and proto in the rest of the rifles. Is proto worth it?

i use a standard ar or the breach no prof at all and still kill with it lol nerf it nerf it to hell i say ha ha ha .

Only Reason, much much better fitting. Duvolle is currently very hard to fit these days

still a proud AR user. always have been. it isnt living up to the other rifles though. it has the highest TTK on most suits now.

Too late. Just got proto forge guns. Went 16-1 and I only died to a sneaky assault dropship who was pissed at me 
EDIT: I know that's not a good score but most of them were direct hits, while the others were tanks and derpships. I got one splash damage kill from someone who got revived and I jerked and missed.

I've got Proficiency 3 and at that level it makes the GK-13 Burst Assault Rifle worth it and the Allotek becomes 10x more fun..

My Plasma Rifle will take its rightly place as CQC master once this broken age is over with.
My main concern is that they delayed the RR and CR twice and they still somehow completely ****** it up.
What did they do with in those two extra months? Try to figure out how to make it even more OP?

The simple reason is that AR are being overshadowed by the RR range. if you do the math, they both have the same DPS but the RR has a distance advantage.

I had this problem for a while, I think it is because you don't care and are having fun and relaxed. Done them for 6 weeks and it is surprising how well you can do once you get used to the suit.

AR isn't BAD like the laser or PLC, just that there are much better options.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

it was going to get RR basic 75 damage per bullet with proto 100 damage per bullet BEFORE added damage from proficiency and damage mods.
what you are using now is only the op versions and not the facepalm very, very broken versions
