DUST Search - Is work on our ps4 port still being put off?

(I mean, would you rather play a persistent massive-scale warfare game that is mostly balanced with amazing graphics and proven quality? Or would you rather switch back to your slow old ps3 just to play an laggy imbalanced lobby shooter with mediocre graphics and most of it's potential coming..... SoonGäó?)

I'd give it 2015 before Dust actually becomes worthy of the port. The start of 2016 at the latest because I'm confident(lol) enough in CCP to get core mechanics working by then. I'm just hoping we get it done now rather than later. What else we need to do after 1.8? All racial vehicles, PC redux, marketplace release, PVE and then working on PC's integration with PI and once we hit that, it'll be ready for port imo. Also, Planetside 2 would end up just being something to tide gamers over. You can do the same stuff in Dust, essentially with a much more expansive world and everything doesn't feel like a constant repeat. Not to mention it will take them quite a while to port over all the assets into high polygon models with eye-bleeding graphics... I'd say 2-3 is a perfect time frame, by then the game will be mature (or dead)... and the PS4 (or whatever other platform they port to) will have a sizeable population...

Agreed 100%. The new games coming should worry CCP. Metal gear ground zeroes will start it off, then PS2, Destiny, Watch dogs, and lord knows what else. I know as I watched a gameplay trailer for PS2 today, I feel it's pull increasing. That game is like what Dust should be. Once I get in the habit and have a reason to fire up my PS4 more often, my PS3 will be gathering more and more dust (no pun intended).
