1: when in third person, make the dropship 50% transparent on client aide for the pilot so he can see what he is shooting.
2: give all enemies a red outline, like the type l4d2 uses for critically injured teammates. Or maybe give this one to all vehicle users. The outline only appears if you can actually see them, so no wall haxs.

1. yea, seems cool. I have no problem with that.
2. no, hell no. I survive on stealth I don't want or need a a big "here I am, please shoot me!" sticker on my back.
2a. scanned enemies have a red outline... maybe but if they're scanned they have a have a red chevette so wouldn't that defeat the purpose?

I'd be fine with the first suggestion. However, I'd like the signature of a vehicles increased such that they appear on the mini-map when near-by. A good portion of the disruption caused by vehicles is that you often have to have eyes on them to see them on the mini-map. The second suggestion would give an unfair (and unneeded) advantage to ADS pilots.

Maybe give the red outline as a module, say a tracking module that allows you outline any target in your direct LOS. Modules solve everything. To get a bonus that makes flying easier, you have to use a spot that would otherwise be used keeping you alive. Hardeners and stuff.

They should stay as is but like the branch that gives the 2% for the turret punch ... there should be a branch that involves handling as well , like better control handling with an astronomical SP number needed so the real and dedicated dropship pilots could take advantage. More of an investment more in returns. Same should be for all vehicle classes. This would separate the serious vehicle users from those who attempt to compete but don't care to invest the REAL time and effort but would like to consider themselves to be up to par with a dedicated vehicle user.

To be fair this is already there, but based around your build... If you use an armour ship at least. I recently started mainly using an incubus with 0 added armour, it handles like a dream, just gotta keep moving. |

Additionally
1) Have an option for your reticule to remain where you leave it when in third person instead of automatically returning to center.
2) Allow you to actually move the reticule with in first person, even if this means having the reticule not be on the center of the screen, and have an option for it to remain where you leave it instead of automatically returning to center.
The fact that the reticule always wants to return to center and that when in first person you can't move your reticule at all is one of the biggest reasons why missile turrets are the only viable turrets for them. Its too tricky to maintain steady aim with the current mechanics, especially on the relatively tiny dropsuits. But for missiles, you only need to be aimed properly for a split second so it's not a big deal.

They really need easier to use controls in my opinion. I know that there are people who are awesome pilots, but still. The controls for Dropships are some the most awkward and unintuitive flight controls I have ever used in a video game. The right analog stick makes zero ******* sense, Left and Right Control the Dropship, but up and down move the camera only, Who the **** thought that was a good idea? Shooting with an ADS in first person in a joke, let alone just trying to fly in first person.
"But they actually take skill!" Some of you will say, and I can agree on that, but it's a goddamn video game. I shouldn't have to invest hours upon hours just trying to figure out how the damn things work in the slightest. It didn't take me hours to figure out how to shoot an HMG, or to drive an LAV, or throw a grenade. The awesome pilots will always be awesome, but changing the controls will allow more people to actually give them a whirl. Giving the Dropships easier controls won't make ****** players Gods and it won't make the Godly players ******. ****** players will always be fodder for those with skill.
I think if they had more "helicopter-like" controls they'd be better. Have the normal Dropships function similar to a Transport Heli from Battlefield, and have the ADS function similar to an Attack Heli.

Like the idea for a red outline. But, this shouldn't be a constant effect, and should come from the activation of a module.
So new tracking module for the dropship.

Make the ship transparent and "ghost" a wireframe outline so the pilot knows where his ship is at in relation to the environment.
The lore is that you have video sensors on the surface of the ship so you can create a virtual view "through" the ship.
The implementation is you put the camera view at the center of gravity. With the camera in the ship you can now easily fly. With the "transparent" walls you can now aim and shoot.

I played a ****-ton of BF3, Attack Heli's definitely have a lower bar of entry than ADSs, but that didn't mean anyone could easily pull off the things that more skillful players could. Maybe you just "get them" better than me, or maybe you're just exaggerating. And don't get me wrong, I can "fly" a Python, I just can't ******* hit anything or stay on a target. They just have a terrible control scheme, my main example being the goddamn right analog stick, I said it before and I'll say it again, but it doesn't make any damn sense as to why up and down only change the camera but left and right actually move the ship.
