Are we going to see some news about 1.8 in the next week or two? I was really hoping it would be running by spring break (March 10). It would ease my mind to even hear that the lack of news is deliberate.
Anyone else getting a bit antsy? lol

Only the entire community... we've been waiting for 3 months and CCP is staying tight lipped. CPM HJ said they are putting a helluva lot fo work into 1.8 and we should have devblogs soon.
Unfortunately at the rate they are giving us information even if they deliver some quality devblogs it will be too little too late. The community is getting tired of waiting, of being told that good things are on the horizon, that we just keep holding on everything will be so much better.
Here are the facts...
Patch 1.7 was three months ago
The feedback threads are dozens of pages deep and we haven't had them updated
No devblogs worth talking about
No concrete answers are being given on the forums, reddit, twitter. Anywhere. It's not that we're being lied to, we're being ignored
HAV imbalance hasn't been addressed (see: 1.7 was three months ago)
Fatal errors continue to cause crashes too often
In-game chat is laughably borked
And yet...
Not a word from CCP. Silence. Dead silence.

You do understand that A non-disclosure agreement (NDA), also known as a confidentiality agreement (CA), confidential disclosure agreement (CDA), proprietary information agreement (PIA), or secrecy agreement, is a legal contract between at least two parties that outlines confidential material, knowledge, or information that the parties wish to share with one another for certain purposes, but wish to restrict access to or by third parties. They are not ignoring us, they are just doing their job the way that their boss outlined. We are heard and our comments, recommendation and insights are used by CCP. They hear us and they are trying but their job is tedious and time consuming. I am not a good computer programmer but I do know how to program and it isn't easy or straightforward. Give them time and they will deliver.

Generally patch notes are about 2 weeks before the patch (when the patch is turned over to Sony for QA).
The patch is always on Wednesday.
With these things being said we have about a week and a half to see patch notes or we can accept that its not coming until April sometime. |

My friend can't wait to see the Gallente heavy. Unfortunately, if there's no SP refund, he won't be able to use it and be a sad panda.
Um, I'm not excited much. New Pistol and cloak. Yay. New suits that I'll probably never use. Yay. More balancing issues or worse, game breaking issues. Yay. |

Just like every patch we've had with uprising, and add how it's taken this long for CCP to actually get focused on this game. Note since CCP has suddenly decided to make their dev team for dust bigger. With Destinys release not too long from now and most of those people that are interested in the idea of an MMO-FPS have most likely have never heard of Dust and never will if nothing great comes before destinys release. Plus not sure how many people will be leaving for Destiny once it's released.

Everyone be at ease, I'm not under the delusion that 1.8 will be amazing. So far everything has shown amazing potential but lackluster delivery. I have no doubt that CCP is doing their best to bring us what we want. Whether that is what we get or not is up for debate.
Anyway, I hope that it won't come in April. ******* hell it was torturous enough waiting till March.

Destiny? Really? Makes me laugh almost as hard as TintanFall. Yeah the games my impact players but it isn't anything like DUST and won't appeal to us like DUST does. It will be just a boring and repetitive as DUST but with no PVP and smaller numbers in a match.
