Hello my fellow jaded cynical curs,
I'm writing to ask that you find some soft spot in your callous mercenary hearts to help the community. dust514.info is a heck of a site... or would be, if it just had some recent information in its wiki.
While I was bitching at Winsaucerer in his recent Community Spotlight article for having out of date info on HMGs, he had the tact to ask that I update the page myself. And I thought, "Hey, maybe I shouldn't be such a leech." I now have the HMG info 98% correct, which should help the next hapless noob looking for stats.
But here's the thing: I'm ******* lazy. I'll keep the HMG page updated, but that's it.
I'm kindly asking that you sponsor the page of your favorite suit or weapon. Just log into the site, pull up the DUST market screen, and punch in the most recent information. That's all.

Hmm, so all you'd have to do is log in, change the stats to the most recent, then repeat when anything changes?
If so, then I'd like to help with the Logistics page, although the earliest I could get to updating it is tomorrow.

That's exactly right. Just create a login for yourself on the top right of the page, then click the "Edit" tab near the top and go to town.
And update the page when it works for you. These things haven't been updated since like, Uprising 1.0, so anything is an improvement. 
I'll be updating the HMG page after each major release (should it actually need updating).
Added you two three pimps to the list!

Really hope this site is rehabilitated and made up to date, I drew inspiration and crossed referenced a lot of information from here when making my own site. It takes a lot of work and dedication to get something like this off the ground.

I added some missing Aurum HMGs to my page, it's a fairly easy copy-and-paste job. Just tweak the stats afterward. (I haven't rolled up my sleeves to tackle FW gear, yet.)
But honestly, just fixing what's already there would be a huge help. I figure just the accurate stat differences between Militia, Basic, Advanced and Proto should be good enough for 80% of everyone.
Do whacha got time for, though. We're all volunteers here.

I remember when I visited the wiki page on Dust 514 looking to see what a certain scout suit looked like. I don't remember which one it was now. And when I checked, every image looked the same. I left disappointed. |
