Mouse and keyboard here. I know it is basically based on the speed of my fingers but it seems you need a good rithm for retaining good accuracy.

I practised the rhythm in the redline until I got it. After that it became ungodly.

Pull the trigger after the 3rd bullet leaves the barrel and as long as the lag isn't bad it'll be like its firing full auto.

I wrote this a little while ago.
Also, don't rely on the charge shot too much - if you haven't got the Amarr assault bonus (which honestly makes it OP) using the charge shot will put you about 5-6 shots away from overheating. That's not efficient for your damage - the charge shot takes up the heat of about 10 shots, while only doing 3x the damage. As a result, if you're engaging a heavy or target with a strong armour tank you have to forgo the charge shot.
Don't be afraid to stop firing whilst in combat sometimes as well - it's much better to wait for your heat to go down a little bit while taking damage then kill with 3-4 shots than taking 1 shot more, overheating, and dying in an embarassing fashion.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Thanks. I use basic Ammar assault and I am going for pro. Will use ADV but the bonuss is invaluable. And what are your thoughts on using it as a skill canon? By that I mean using the charge shot to go for headshots.

Charge shot + headshot is lethal, but it still won't work against hardened targets unless you've got the bonus up to a high level. Charge shot actually works frighteningly well with a scanner (which you can afford to use due to the SCR's ammo efficiency) because you can alpha spike people coming around corners. As an RR user you'll probably be used to the concept of pre-charging as targets approach - it works much the same here, except you hold the charge and need longer.
It becomes a hilariously effective pubstomping weapon against low health targets because of the charge shot, though. If there aren't many hard targets, go all out with the charge shots. The single volley kill brings SCR users many tears. Bonus points for being accused of using a modded controller.

I hoped people don't notice the rail.
I will probably go Ammar in 1.8 so I have been training with this setup: Ammar assault,2 complex dmg mods, ADV Scr,Assault Scr Pistol, Complex Damner, and something which I forgot.

@Ansiis - don't be afraid to use it without the bonus. The fire discipline you learn from using it without the bonus is invaluable - almost all of my best scores come after a practice with an unbonused suit before switching to the Amarr assault.
