Also, don't rely on the charge shot too much - if you haven't got the Amarr assault bonus (which honestly makes it OP) using the charge shot will put you about 5-6 shots away from overheating. That's not efficient for your damage - the charge shot takes up the heat of about 10 shots, while only doing 3x the damage. As a result, if you're engaging a heavy or target with a strong armour tank you have to forgo the charge shot. Don't be afraid to stop firing whilst in combat sometimes as well - it's much better to wait for your heat to go down a little bit while taking damage then kill with 3-4 shots than taking 1 shot more, overheating, and dying in an embarassing fashion. You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

I will probably go Ammar in 1.8 so I have been training with this setup: Ammar assault,2 complex dmg mods, ADV Scr,Assault Scr Pistol, Complex Damner, and something which I forgot. The fire discipline you learn from using it without the bonus is invaluable - almost all of my best scores come after a practice with an unbonused suit before switching to the Amarr assault. You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.
