Think about this, what if...
Activision hired CCP to make the worst fps game -ever- as a way of boosting COD sales? Hmm?
And Sony was footing the bill? ( In secret of course, remember, it's a conspiracy).
Sony's reason being they could be like 'Hey, look we offer FREE GAMES to play on our system you just shelled out 200 bucks for!"
The whole time they make sure the free games suck major balls so you go spend 60 bucks at Walmart for a decent, finished, supported game from a major publisher.
It's the way I'd do it.

Its PC players complaining how crap the PC support is, how jittery controls are, its console players saying how terrible and glitchy the game is, how there are so many bugs it feels practically unfinished.
Over on battlefield setting of one of those "leveloution" set pieces crashes the game EVERY time, it can't keep a stable frame rate, how half the set pieces don't even work.

those games you mentioned have the better game mechanics, no doubt, but they are so shallow... i can't spend more than 50 hrs playin em... pretty sure i've spent 5x that on dust and there's vets that spent 50x that here...
activision should hire ccp to add depth to their games..
