My average suit cost 50K ISK. An average match I get between 150-200K ISK. So if I die 4 times I break even at best. I'll die more then that just trying to kill one tank these days let alone to anyone with 1 level in RR. I can run full proto suits but I never do as I'll never make back the isk of one death, why even bother offering anything higher then advanced when the only way you can stay viable is to run as cheap of a fit as you can? Unless you farm PC or run around like a bunch of tools pubstomping there is very little point in skilling past advanced gear. You get more in pain and suffering for dumping hot coffee in your lap, then you do for dying in any number of gruesome way for these mega wealthy corporations paying us. Immortal or not why would any merc put so little value on their suffering to take so little in exchange for what they go though any given battle?

Yea I am not asking to run proto full time but either increased survivability or economically survivability at advanced level.

What we need is PvE. PvP should be more expensive and should be played because it's "more fun" to fight against other players than against computer opponents. Payouts should be higher in PvP, but so should your losses.

Sure, then there should be no objection to an ADV and STD price decrease. Declaring that 'all' things need a price decrease would only additionally include proto.

I keep seeing this, but the results are in. The current pricing/payout balance has led to battles becoming boring within 2-3 minutes.
I'm not sure how anyone is still arguing this. It would be one thing if this was 5/14/2013 and we were talking hypotheticals, but we aren't.
Battles are boring and I firmly believe it's because of the paltry payouts. Certainly the payouts in terms of performance vs mere participation.

I can run any number of free/cheap fits, but my point is that players shouldn't have to run excessively cheap fits to stay viable. MLT gear should be how a new players makes his initial fortune with STD gear being less profitable but more survivable then MLT gear. ADV you should be able to break even more often then not outside of just being bad. Proto is the luxury gear where your not likely going to make ISK but you'll be much more of a force on the battlefield.

Your on drugs. I run proto and profit. It's really easy to do when you only only lose one suit a game. Sure some games I may not profit but it evens out.
I can tell you now that if they were to increase isk payout there would be a lot more entertaining battles. I love fighting other proto.
Someone brought up new player retention and that is an entirely different story. New players should not be playing vets nonstop in pubs. I am not surprised they only play once and never come back. The point of this game is to run cheap free stuff until you build all your core up. You get your weapon profiency and armor shields pg cpu and all that maxed while running as cheap of suits as possible. I managed to save up 100 million that way before I even started running proto.
Pro tip Try not to die.

They just need to add a option for higher tier battles that pay more then the standard battles.
Might get the Pubstompers out to a pasture where they can make money on a even playing field using what the want.

What's really needed to address this are several things.
1. Introduce PvE already with a tiered reward system exactly similar to that of Eve Online's PvE system. The higher the standings you have with the mission agent, the more ISK and LP you get for the corporation you worked for. Yes, LP and ISK is included for PvE mission agents in Eve Online.
2. Introduce secondary market (might take longer) so that players can sell the salvage they can't use so they can be properly compensated for the losses they suffered during the match. As a dedicated scout, I can't use any of the forge guns or other heavy-related gear that for some reason I keep getting as salvage. Funny how I never get nova knives and Minmatar scout suits as salvage.
3. Fix Planetary Conquest already. The whole of Molden Heath has become a giant ATM machine for Dust corporations who have practically locked all of the districts and thus using that ISK to flood the primary market with too much ISK in circulation which leads to way too many proto-stomping matches while those who are NOT in district-holding corporations suffer with no meaningful source of secondary revenue.

I don't die nearly as much when I run proto, but as a logi my proto suits can run up to 250K ISK. So even one death puts me out a ton of ISK. I also run AV fits much of the time this build so I am not going to run proto logi suits to take out 80K ISK tanks. And no I am not throwing myself at tanks, but my AV weapons are only mildly useful vs infantry.

heres my isk gain vs suit cost i make about 220,000 per match my advance suit which is my main pub suit is about 44,000isk i buy 25 suits per restock which comes out to about 1,100,000isk i can die average of 4 times a match before i start losing profit so if i can make those 25 suits last more then 5 matches i make a profit normaly i can go 6 or 7 Doms before i have to restock but if i don't i switch to standard suits to make up the difference.

My only suit costs 14,100 ISK per unit. Take off the BPOs and that skyrockets to... 18,100. I have to die about a dozen times before my brow begins to furrow. Cheap suits are a poor (in every sense of the word) player's haven of rest. Besides, anybody can rule in those high-ISK auto-killers. The real talent around here shops off the rack.

A Std-Adv suit costing 50K pain staking for me since you don't get much tank no matter what it is,the highest pub fit i have is 37K assault suit, i draw the line at 40K most of the time on "grunt fits"
I think think payouts should be better,id be able to run higher ISK suits and manage more with more leeway. PayoutS suck in general ,I can do AV work and get paid crap 90k, or do logi work and get paid a constant 200k most games in a 30K suit,What BS is this? i blew up a tanks for f**k sakes.

A performance based matchmaking would solve this, in the end, its not about the money, so long as you can pull some form of profit! Tighter games are more fun, tighter games end up with everyone throwing everything for the win.
If I go against NS squad or some such, where I know its just gonna be FOTM spam, why would I bother with anything but mlt?
