Lol. I will never see how not hp stacking will be effective, ever. Hp tanking is good when either shield or armour, but both is not good unless you plan on not moving around at all. And if you have to dual tank you are doing it wrong.

If you play the game enough to get everything you want, then you might want to try taking a break and playing something else once in a while.
I have been playing for over a year and am only up around 17 million skill points on each of my characters. I donGÇÖt play enough to get burnt out. That is partially deliberate on my part. I want to stick with DUST for the long term, but I know that there is not enough content yet to keep people from getting burnt out if they play too much. So I try not to play too much. If it starts feeling like a grind I take a brake and read a book or something.

I have been grinding well over a year and have never misses a single grind. I am worn out and maybe its the insanity but I keep doing it every week. The crazy part is I have very little left to grind into. So what do I do now?

Nice!
Anyway, just let it go!
Who cares if you leave 50k on the table this week? It's not like you don't have competitive gear at this point, or are some noob that needs more SP to survive. Relax, have a beer, play something else for a week and get some perspective. Don't turn it into a job.

I only like the grind because it gives me a reason to play, and an excuse to tell others when they ask why I'm playing.

I don't do it often, but it's a nice change from Armor tanking with Triage hives.
Although speed tanking is more my style these days.

Thinking of going Scout Slayer with the 1.8 drops? You could probably pull it off.

I tired of grinding a very long time ago. I capped the week or two after 1.7 hit for the first time in months.
But after playing this game for as long as I have if I don't have it already I don't really need it.
There was a dev post that stated that they were looking at making it easier to skill into things like suits, so maybe if they reworked things enough bittervets like us can just have a bunch of SP freed up to finish off a bunch of skills.
I just really don't care anymore. Passive SP is enough for me.
Try to kill it all you want CCP, I still <3 my laser.

This isn't depth of meaningful progression, this is terrible design. I stopped grinding - I now play with friends, PC, or not at all.

I'm a new player who can't catch up due to a single player skill system, district locking players, and a dev team that's more interested in AUR sales than making a good game. I play enough to max out 3 alts a week, and barely see forward progress.
Not that it matters, 1.8 will be the end of DUST, so it will be back to COD full time for me.

You think he gets tired of your tank stomping? Seeing as you demand proto AV to even scratch your paintwork.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Sadly, You don't have much of a choice. Yes, I do get strung out to be on the SP grind for one silly point investment. However, I only invest SP into what I think I can make extreme advances in or when I try something new.
On my SP tree, Say for equipment, I have my scanners at 1. Since I hate scanning, I'm no longer going to add anymore investments into it. (God knows there's enough people with scanners already.)
But, Just for the sake of conversation, I did want to increase my Scanner Operation. I never did invest any points into getting a level to 2 or 4 with equipment. Makes no sense seeing only few have percentage benefits & the tiers are: 1 -- Basic 3 -- ADV 5 -- Prototype
So, I would save up SP until I could reach the next tier.
I do, However, Understand SP grinding gets ridiculous for level 5 stats. It can take FOREVERRR.
