As of 10:30 UTC, Tranquility is currently undergoing a DDoS attack that has knocked players offline and is preventing them from reconnecting to the server. We are currently investigating the attack and implementing countermeasures. We apologize for the inconvenience this may be causing players and hope to have functionality restored as soon as possible.

Suspected as much when I got D/C:ed and checked eve-offline and saw the numbers dropping to the ground.
You should send out a Twitter feed. The forum performance does not look that hot either. |

all i could picture while reading this is CCP Eterne running around the jungles with an M60 lighting up all the hacks with the hot smouldering lead and a grin on his face, grenades being spammed from the dirt CCP LogiBro and CCP FoxFour explosions everywhere and shrapnel flying CCP Frame fires a rocket launcher round or two for good measure tanks rolling over trees firing HE shells and spewing out flames from the flame thrower driven buy CCP Saberwing, CCP Rouge (aka pretty boy) yelling "come get some" whilst laying waste to the foliage with his mini gun in a "heuy" being flown by CCP WolfMan .

If the server is down for longer than a 24 hour period, how will CCP handle the daily log in bonus? I know it might not be much to some, but I just barely broke 10m SP and every bit counts.

Well considering we share Tranquility server with EVE the attack may not be directed at Dust.

Whether it's on Dust514, or Eve Online. This DDos attack is because someone is butthurt and finds satisfaction through the stress of 10s of thousands of players. DDos happens quite frequently but is handled quickly. PSN had an attack a few months ago and was resolved in just a few hours.
Tranquility will most likely be up in a few hours.

Servers have been up. But! There are multiple concerns of microphones not working correctly. This is not just the standard mic glitch that you relog in to fix. People have tried to reinstall dust514 to fix the problems and it is not fixing.
I don't have problems but multiple people in the corporation are now having these issues.
Hopefully 1.8 or some sort of hot fix will handle this, if not then a restart of tranquility of some sort is needed.
