Hey I wanted to continue making dust 514 videos including one where I describe Operation Mauler. I realized I was a little fuzzy on one of the details and thought I would clear it up before making a fool of myself publicly. The description reads "wear a basic heavy or sentinel suit and score kills with heavy weapons". I am actually gonna read that as any non-commando heavy suit being eligible, since all tiers seem to be targeted by the bounty, but If I'm wrong please let me know before I lead all those guys using miltia suits with an HMG of course. Not really an issue for me since I've been in basic sentinel suit nearly the whole time.
I'm also gonna try and grab a handful of kills in assault and burst variants of HMG to see if the event awards me with proto versions of those guns as well.
Any help making sure I've got the explanation right would be appreciated. |

All non-commando heavies (basic heavy, sentinel heavy, all tiers), you are correct.

As for the other thing, can I get proto burst and assault variants of the HMG rewarded from this event as well? |

The reward is a 'Steelmine' Boundless, and the requirement is killing things with a heavy weapon, if I remember correctly.
The heavy suit is incidental, essentially. Basically you use it because otherwise you can't use the HMG.

Its the weapon itself that gives bonus SP. And because no other suit can use a forgegun/HMG you can do it aswell with a militia suit.
