The empire has become stagnated. Our forces in disarray, brave few come to it's protection, It's time to change that. Our empire is holy chosen by god to lead mankind to it's glorious destiny. But our traditions and policies intead of bringing shun them away. My proposition may lead to a schism between my people, and brand me as heretic but it's a risk I'm willing to take.
I propose the abandonment of slavery, and torture as a method to bring people to God. The end of theochratic absolutism as a form government and instead in it's place a Constitutional Monarchy with Merith Sarum as emperor and a prime minister chosen by the people and the end of the nobles privilegies .
I believe if we do those things the empire will be saved, if not thousands of years of work will certainly be lost forever. |

Torture was never a form of converting people, just a way to extract information (like - all -four - empires). Also, you'd do better to post this thread here, though for some reason people like to swing their faction's banner in General Discussion instead of the IGS (As in, people readily seem to RP in responses on faction-y threads in GD, but don't go over to IGS).
Unless you're making a new corporation, then GD is a good place to announce it (does anyone actually read the recruitment forums?)
Now is the winter of our non-content.

A small price to pay in order to survive. Haven't you heard the news the capsuleers are getting more and more agitated. Who do you think they will attack first. They want to see our light to be estinguished. They see us as the opressors and they will not stop until everything destroyed! |

Fun story, when the Gallente and Amarr first met, the Gallente were deeply fascinated by the Amarr and actually were quite fond of their culture. The high seats of the Federation got nervous, believing that if people see a successful civilization besides their own then they would question the necessity of a federation and perhaps try to live as independents. For this reason, the Federation began to demonize the Amarr Empire, largely using the topic of slavery to push this agenda. The propaganda has been rolling ever since.

Quote 1: "The Federation government kept strict control of information regarding the Amarr, fearing that the revelation of the Federation not being the sole and collective representative of human civilization would undermine the entire unionGÇÖs purpose. The highest levels of the Federation slowly became aware of the AmarrGÇÖs practice of slavery, something that would be considered unforgivable by the population."
Quote 2: "To many, the Amarr Empire was perceived to resemble one of their planetside feudal kingdoms from ancient times, that had managed to retain its pre-industrial culture into space and across the stars. Although this oversimplified the complex nuances of a similarly interstellar empire, these Gallente found the Amarr fascinating, despite the disagreements about slavery. The fact that the Amarr were still institutionally religious and conducted themselves in a way that was seen as anachronistic of the spacefaring era was a point that several Federal citizens took to eagerly."

This only proves you ignorance.
Do you suppose the Amarr Navy was destroyed at Vak Atioth? No.
A mere squadron of vessel, all of them sub capital, less than a fraction of our fully military strength was deployed to the battle.
With the Elder fleet it was only the Sarum Family fleets that sent the might of several capital class Matari vessels straight to hell.
As for the Gallente...we have had no true military interaction against them, excluding Uriam Kador's foolish moves against them, t which our empress responded with supreme dignity and grace, allowing them to assault Kador Prime unassailed.

You see arrogance led us towards these disasters. If we just steped down from our high chair we could have prevented those battles. Not a single Amarr life would have been lost. |

Rebeiro...you have forgotten our Immortal Destiny given unto us by God, to unite the stars under one people. Our Empire is glorious, it is holy, and its Faith preaches the truth to all mankind!
We bring the light to furthest stars, we root out evil where ever it is found, we teach the ways to leave with peace in ones heart and exaltation to God on ones lips.
Our mere existence is proof enough of His divinity, our unity describes His form, our Faith his power, and our righteous purpose his holy Wrath.
I fear you are losing you Faith. Hold strong Rebeiro, believe, and what you give unto this empire shall be given back unto you.

If my Empire has no need of me, and my very being begins to threaten the Imperial Throne then at such a time I would willingly offer myself unto the Empire, in the final, ultimate gesture of my Faith. Then you do not value your freedom, your right to choose. So beholden to an Empire that would grind you to dust. What sort of existence is that? No existence at all in my opinion. I fight for the Federation so long as they will uphold the values of freedom. When they turn their back to the masses I will burn it down to start over. My purpose is Freedom. Against any corporation, any state or group that would deny another the chance at freedom. That is why I fight the Amarr and at odds with the Caldari so easy to step over those beneath you.
This is my choice.
"War is not hell, far from it. War is beautiful. War is divine."
- Grand Admiral Mekioth Sarum
