list of things I noticed coming back, I'm not gonna touch on balance items because frankly the game is surprisingly well balanced with the exception of some bad mechanics and a few tweaks id rather not waste time on..
Well as always, fix or throw out bullet mag. way to god damn aggressive, video to come...
Sticky walls WTF EVERY OTHER SHOOTER ......EEEEVVVVVVEEERRR allows you to slide along the walls you could be running 1 deg from straight at a wall and you would move at what every the lateral speed you would have despite having your face or back planted in a wall, this may conflict with you ideal for the game but this is a necessary concession to make up for our lack of touch and momentum. the game is just unpleasant to play when you stick against things because you got to close, I don't care what you have to break to fix it FIX IT!
spray/dispersion, this is partially bullet mags fault but you don't have bullet travel time so you have to return that skill gap with learning to balance a meaningful spray.
red line sniping, first match back and red line snipers all over the opposing team that was much better then ours lost because of them, and we got the mind numbing joy of just having to play thru that significant annoyance. reward/risk is too damn high for that, they risk effectively nothing for a high kdr longer time on the field then anyone else on the map=>more isk/SP, higher isk efficiency, and typically cause the loss of the match for their team ,but feel no negative repercussions for this. take away all incentives for being in the red line, its not an active part of the battle field they should not be payed for being there.
map design, I've been playing PS2 not because I like it but because it fills my desire to play a shooter with out driving me mad with its lack of polish, I wouldn't bring it up but their map design is ******* amazing, PS2 movement speeds are about the same as dust speeds, but thanks to the tight map design it never feels slow, even out in the open, oh sure traveling on foot in the game sucks but, you never feel that while in combat, unlike in dust. Including areas meant to be dominated by vehicles there is almost always a way to break line of sight befor you get killed, in the early maps of dust this was actually very much the case, not a well done, but better, frankly the only map done well in this regard is line harvest, well until you get the the ends of in the red line.
FOV, the FOV in this game is just ******* awful, I'm guessing this is a performance thing as the current FOV was implemented during a whole host of performance tweaks, but please fix this ASAP, if its a minimize motion sickness thing, give me a ******* slider.
