So I got into a public battle and about halfway through I see an enemy nova knife kill apear on the kill board. I open up the leader boards and send him a message (his name escapes me) challenging him to a nova knife battle under the A objective bridge. He accepted the challenge and fought with honor. As I fell to a large gash through my throat, I couldn't help but think; what if people did this type of thing more often. Calling out a 1v1 in the middle of a battle is hilarious and fun, even at the loss. Has anyone else done this before?

I did this many times, And i didn't even message, its like we had a connection! We didn't use our combat rifles except me and some dude jest went at it with knives untill some logi came in and messed up our fun.

No. I should try that. My encounters consist of;
Me SG on roof, vs enemy SG scout on roof
The battle commences, his buddies appear they stay and watch. Then one of the spectators wastes me with his RR.
Or, classic knife fight. We go at it I jump just out of his range then he pulls out his shotty.

thats awesome m8 i think thats more reserved to scouts tho (not just the ssamurai dual) b/c most ppl and playstyles dont check mail till after the match b/c they are trying to get back to the fray and help out their team mates ( blueberries only want wp andkills )

That is when in the message, you bet isk at a low level. Say around 5000 isk, enough for a new knife. And because it is so low they will probably only use knives. And do it where a thale's sniper would sit, way the hell out in the cliffs or (in domination) a complex where no infantry would be at all.

Also, if anyone wants to challenge me to a nova knife duel, my in game channel is called "the huds". Let me know if you are interested in a battle and we shall sync opposing factions (me- minmatar you-amarr, etc). This way we stand no chance of losing faction points for friendly fire.
