Today, I Aisha Ctarl committed a sin.

I dual tanked my Amarr Assault Medium Frame.



We Amarrians are resistance tankers/armor in EVE therefore we like resistance plates and armor plates. I was sitting staring at my fitting screen like any other day, but was pondering why in the world did CCP decided to give the ADV Amarr Assault 2/2 and the PRO Amarr Assault 3/3 when it hit me; the shields that you could place in the highs are akin to resistance plating!

I took my ADV fit and removed the two complex damage mods and swapped them for complex shield extenders. My ADV Amarr Assault was sitting at 370/346 (one complex plate and one enhanced rep) and I felt terrible - dual tanking is a sin after all! The only way I got over my "sin" was convincing myself that those shield extenders were really resistance plates that CCP hopefully plans to add to the game in the future.

I entered a match an lo and behold, this hybrid tanked suit performed amazingly. I shrugged off grenades, CR's had a harder time getting into my armor, mass drivers couldn't fell me - I felt unstoppable with my trusty CRW-04.

I know it is frowned upon, and I know it is a "sin," but for you Amarrians out there struggling wondering what is my suit's role, try a hybrid tank, it really works.

You know aisha I really thought you were going to say you finally took a roll on the sticky side. That's okay one day you will come over to this side and find out why once you go minotaur you never go back and I swear its not because all the duct tape stuck to us.

If dual tanking is a sin in DUST, it's only a sin for shield tankers.

For armor tankers it won't be a sin until we get high slot resistance modules for armor.
