Lots of your so called elites go through some elaborate **** to protect kdr, but when I catch em slipping they still die. You will never see these people go for the hack alone "though as a rule you shouodnt  " , or use a jihad jeep, their game is im going to stand right here amd farm kills, lmao you.... They wont hop in the derp ship and fly, to the towers to clear them, cause those things aint safe, they leave games etc etc etc, but when its noobs or they qsync or happen to land in the pub with another proto squad well then they are their for the buffet.... |

I don't give a crap about my kdr lol.
I spent months trying and mastering underpowered weapons. messing around. or simply just being drunk. Who cares as long as your having fun right?
and with that attitude, I was able to play a dozen pc battles a day because people liked me. Earned a billion isk. It was really easy to get hired for work. Well back when pc actually felt like it mattered. not this lockfest.
my point is... KDR will not necessarily take you to the top. If you sucked as a noob or for whatever reason your kdr may seem low it hardly matters if you have the talent and the passion to play this game.

You and I have different definitions on the word "elite". What you described is just a bunch of noobs lol.
It is not uncommon to join a game in mid battle, sometimes my team is losing. a true elite will carry their team. :p Although I admit to not always succeeding but come on.... getting 50+ kills and less than 5 deaths and still being cloned out by enemy forces?? Some blueberries just need a god instead of an elite to carry them.
True elites wont puss out of games no matter how they look or no matter how they affect your kdr. True elites will use whatever strategy it takes to win.

in a 16vs16 match... can only do so much as a solo mercenary... Specially if you have the stupid blueberry disease on your team where they are shooting objectives instead of hacking them and shooting at the enemy MCC in turret structures...
Better to just leave and find a new match in the 30 seconds it takes..
Ambush? Well as soon as one side gets wiped... Meaning their spawn gets killed off and they get rushed out completely.. That side will never recover... They will never get 16 merc's back onto the field in an effective manner again... It will be a farm fest until its over..
When player skill could dictate matches well over gear... Often the "Elite" groups or superior squaded numbers would have good competition on their hands...
And Winning actually mattered as it was a reflection of player skill, Not skill points and Gear used... People would stick around and take the losses to get the win... Now? who cares about winning? doesn't mean much at all... Rather milk kills, and protect myself.. |
