I believe a CPM member mentioned all items will be able to be sold and bought on the Open market.

No trading in 1.8.
Hopefully you will be able to trade Aurum items and boosters, although anything is possible for CCP to mess up.
Either way, player trading is a LONG way away. I've been waiting for a year, but I don't expect it this year. Hopefully I am proven wrong, but I doubt it.
Player trading has a huge effect on Eve, and will be implemented very carefully and very slowly. It is a step by step process, and we haven't even reached some of the middle milestones that were referenced at last years Fanfest.

Trade is something that should be carefully done. After all, Dust's secondary market will one day merge with the Eve Online secondary market which, I'm not exaggerating here when I say this, is a huge economic beast that takes a lot of care to manage.

Absolutely.
People who only play Dust might not be able to appreciate how delicate CCP has to be with the implementation of anything that could affect the Eve market.
This is why people should understand that trade is something that is going to take a lot of time, and will be done in stages. It is a huge task, and given the state of disarray within the Dust development team, it is something that would seem to not even be a prority right now as far as items and features that are even close to seeing the light of day.
