my opinion on ideas and suggestions is that its worse for dust not to suggest anything than it is to suggest a bad idea.

someone will always hate or troll any ideas you suggest good or bad. key is to keep suggesting anyway and seeing where it goes. you never know, that sweet idea that just popped into your head might actually be a good one.

you see posts from players all the time that the cpm,ccp and the players actually get behind and might even end up in the game.

keep posting an bumping at irregular intervals so all timezones get to see and cast their views

 tips:

keep posting and bumping at irregular intervals so all timezones get to see and cast their views
if you have similar ideas make separate posts so as not to let a bad version pull the others down
never give up on a good idea but at the same time let bad ones die with dignity. i tend to keep them as long as i have more likes than nasty comments.

Aww, man, don't do this. We're going to get 1 good idea and 99 constantly bumped idiotic ones.
Now I have to go around commenting nastily on the various stupid ideas kicking around the forums.
(not at you, most of your ideas are actually quite good)

my idea is to make a new game mode vs ai bots.
Then people can get away from tankbush and proto stompers. All the people who qq will have a place to go.

Bad ideas, like an AR being a legitimate AV weapon?

Bad ideas, like an AR being a legitimate AV weapon? Well it is supposed to be the jack of all trades that should include AV

Seriously though, not all ideas are good, but plenty of bad ideas can spark some good ideas.

 You forgot the most important:

Suggestions and ideas should go in the correct sub-forum.

...then again, I've gotten the impression that there's a better chance for a bluetag if you post it here in general discussions. Go figure.

+1 ADAM-OF-EVE. Absolutely. That's the whole point of having a forum - the smartest person in the room is always everybody. There's potential good and no harm in repeating ideas and messages to make sure as many peeps as possible have an opportunity to think about/comment on topics.

Good communication is a huge force multiplier on this - this is why players appeal to CCP for an improved dialog.

A single communication channel is also a force multiplier on this - this is why players appeal to CCP to keep all aspects of the conversation on the forums, as opposed to scattering it across twitter, skype, irc, etc.

A guided conversation that takes it's rhythm from the long and short term development cycles and focuses conversation around developmental 'talking points' is a force multiplier on this.

A public conversation can be a powerful thing, and typically is.

It's early days yet but imo the evolution of New Eden as a virtual universe will only be possible as an ongoing conversation between CCP and the EVE/DUST playerbase.

Post what you feel needs to be posted.
Don't bump your threads, add content to them.

Make sure you know what you're talking about. "The simple fix to balence..." is always bad, the fix is almost never simple. Most problems have many contributing factors you need to adree all of them in a balence post.
