Minmatar VS Amarr is really streaky. All stomp one way or all stomp the other. Play right after weekly bonus SP reset, and Amarr is stomping because AE and Imperfects come out to play until they hit cap.
It's basically:
Weds - Thurs = Amarr Stomp
Friday - Saturday = decent fights
Sunday - Tuesday = Minmatar Stomp
Kinda say, but quite predictable these days.

It's bad, I used to love FW due to tough fights...
Now the greatest challenge is to endure 20 mins of boredom for LP
When the Amarr do actually bother they turn up, Proto Stomp and leave
Meaning that neither side gets a good fight...
Plasma Cannons works, any less drawbacks
And I would have an Atomic Bomber on my shoulder

The Amarr proto-stomped in FW for a long time before 1.7
Now a large chunk of the playerbase has developed a thirst for their blood ..
They are reaping what they sowed 
Just like the Matari will the day the slavers come to take their homes back
P.S those shiny golden houses are now wrapped in Duct tape
....... and you really don't want to use those bathrooms

To be fair, you guys make great Repair Tools AND I want to go Min Assault and Logi come 1.8, so, I figured having a couple hundred thousand LP could be useful.

It would be cool if there was a mode that required you to run pure gear with the exception of mods(it's kind of hard to pin down what goes where)
But that would have to be split to bring your own gear and gear is provided for you.
Then split between meta levels(limit to 3/5/9/unlimited)

Get in sync with Red Star or Cubs at night, the Amarr winning is a non issue, trust me, I've been stomped many a times by the super group/proto stomping.

I've thought about this. The Gallente have no High Slot modules, so, mods would have to be removed from the equation. If they did it, I have a nice Dren Logi for Min FW I could run.
Though, I'd assume only suits and maybe weapons could be included, as equipment is too barren.
Actually, that'd be fun. The Amarr are Armor based, Minmatar shielded (supposedly), Amarr weapons damage shields more, Minmatar hurt armor more. Would create some fun balance. Caldari and Gallente being opposites... Hmmm, I like this.

I was just in a Minmatar battle with a squad of my corp mates, we fought for Minmatar. We went up against about 9 "NF Sounds" guys. It was a fairly good match but we were beaten.

Those guys make it a challenge. They mostly run proto and get uplinks in annoying places right off the bat via DS.

They just need to stop letting noobs into FW they obviously have no clue what is going on, more then my fair share of time I get into Amarr FW and 12 of my bluedots are in NPC corps, maybe make it to 5Mil SP to join a FW match

And those are the fights I play FW for. I care less about winning than having a bash without needing to handicap myself. (Which I'll do with whisky if Minmatar is stomping too much.)

all fw is unbalanced do to in part lone clones can join this limits teem work drastically. several time i have been in a fw and i am part of the only squad in the battle
the best way to help with this is requiring a min squad number like 4 to join the battle this will help with the lone players who don't care if they win only want to farm there lp and get some salvage for doing nothing in battle
make this game that's to be about team work about being part of a team |

That would help, but it would be difficult to fit a full team in like that. It would be nice if during the matchmaking, Scotty would prioritize by putting squads in first then filling the last 2 or so spots with blues. That would require squads to join though, and would potentially create a protostomp environment.
A lot of the matchmaking and protostomping problems we are having would be easier to solve if there was a larger player base, but it is these matchmaking and protostomping problems that are causing the player base to dwindle. |
