Most likely we will have Dropsuit Command refunded, given the drastic changes
But we need to remember that Upgrades/Weaponry were determined by our suit
So at least those 3 categories need to be refunded.... or many tears will fill the forum
I have to agree with the opinion I have seen, CCP could at least tell us
what they are thinking on the subject, is there any hope of respec 1.8?
Plasma Cannons works, any less drawbacks
And I would have an atomic bomber on my shoulder

I would agree with this, most of the higher SP players
Are only there from abusing every new player who comes in to Dust since closed beta
CCP would have a lot of QQ if they did this, and they lose their favorite customers
So for those reasons you can keep dreaming ....
An even fight is not what 90% of Dust players are seeking
But I will add that the current state of the game is quite depressing
The Proto-Stompers are bored
The Resistance are defeated
The Scrubs win every game with 7 MLT HAV
And on average I'd say 6/32 players a game actually enjoy it

Am in favor of a total sp respec, no reason not too. Peeps can always reskill into what they had if they dont want a respec.

A dropsuit command respec is just unquestionable. I can't think of a single good reason to oppose one.
Generally I would settle for that, but then there are people, for example, who might have skilled up the Scrambler Pistol to use on the Minmatar Assault.
What would a dropsuit respec do for them, when they've got possibly millions tied up in a weapon that won't be boosted by any specialisation?

Probably the biggest reason we're all still here is the investment we have in our characters. Nevermind the uproar it would cause, I'd leave simply because I know the grind that lies ahead.

Of all the upcoming changes, I cannot think of a more drastic change in role.
The only equipped items on a Minmater logi that would stay the same from 1.7 to 1.8 are maybe shield extenders in he highs, and maybe a weapon of choice.
Speed & stealth modules would become tanking modules.
And uplinks & REs would become reppers & hives.
That's several million SP that would be required for a person to STICK WITH their suit or their role.

You raise a fair arguement though one could counter this with pointing out the reason why the game will always have a low player base is due to the fact new players have no need to play dust when they are put up against player with 30+million SP
