Due to work commitments I wasn't able to go last year and ended up watching a video of it later and the same is likely to happen this year so I'd like to express my disappointment at the weak questions and pandering that went on at last years Fanfest and hope that this year we have some people not in the 'elitist boys club' participate and get into a direct discussion with CCP over the issues this game has.
Failure to implement a working matchmaking system
Failure to create a decent NPE
Failure to create a decent tutorial (Have you seen it ? Join battlefinder,Create Dropsuit .. finished)
Failure to fix glitches and bugs (Fatal Error bug, stuck on terrain, random blowing up in vehicles to name a few)
Failure to create new gamemodes
Failure to have a working PC gamemode and then the failure to not remove it when it is clearly broken
Failure to release content
Failure to balance the game
Failure to engage with the community
Failure to punish people boosting,exploiting glitches/bugs
I'm not saying berate them for all the things they've failed at but to at least press CCP to answer the 2 most important questions you can ever ask them .. How ? and When ?

OH and ZionShad are you going to tell CCP what an awesome job they are doing again this year just like last year ? Even after the horrible 1.7 Update (balance fails everywhere) ?
You've already added NS to a Wall Of Fame (That's like adding Lance Armstrong to a Cycling Wall of Fame now after he has been found guilty of cheating) don't make it worse for yourself ..

As a bitter eve vet who was converted to DUST after last years FanFest (litterally bought a PS3 in the duty free on the way back!), I think this years won't be very friendly in relation to dust.
I do still love CCP, still a fanboi, love EvE even after 6 years, but dust I can't handle any more. Makes me sad too, cuz I can still see the vision of what is can be, but last year was just months of elation and disappointment, with the latter having the longest effect.
I really do hope there is positive, real, achievable, discourse at this years FF. Maybe even an apology!

I didn't think community engagement was really an issue anymore, especially after people realized that under-promising and over-delivering is better than over-promising and under-delivering.
Never heard someone complain about this before. I don't even know what exploits you could be referring to.

Theres plenty of exploits:
Boosting:
1- kills a redberry
2-squadmate reviving the dead blueberry that just died
3-disposable alt that just stands there and dies over and over and over.
1blueberry is boosting kdr stats
2blueberry is boosting WP stats
3redberry is a disposable alt.
All three are on corp chat from whatever scrub corp they belong to that thinks boosting is ok..bah!!!....scrubs!!!

You can't answer the questions I asked in the OP with how and when so there really is no point in us having a conversation about it however, you actively engage with the CPMS/DEVS and have a platform to be able to discuss all the aforementioned points with them directly and push for the answers to how and when.

Never made any claim to knowing any answers you're seeking, but was offering a hand to help out in getting answers. Type can be a hard medium to understand a persons point or how they truly are trying to come off. I'll do my best

Ohhh how I've seen passionate threads like this before but it will just get shuffled under the rug and CCP will continue to ignore and fail the community patch after patch... Really we need more threads like these and people to talk with thier wallets and quit giving CCP money... I've cancelled three EVE accounts and haven't purchased aurum since Uprising.. I'll wait to see what 1.8 and fanfest brings, a humble apology to the community and road map would be a start... |
