Are those messages really necessary. I think they just give away your position and take away any strategy. |

I somewhat agree. In the future, hopefully, we might be able to get some modules that would increase our stealth hacking ability.

It's reasonable that those messages appear. The TACNET has to be good for something after all. |

I fake people out with that. I'll start hacking, stop, run and hide and wait for reds to pour in where there waiting is a nasty shotgun scout with REs and Breach SMG.

Maybe only objectives should alert or certain level hacking ability should disable or delay the messages.
I think they are find for now.
When we get scanning units or the like that you can place and leave to scan areas then we can remove them only objectives should alert globally.

I hated them, until I started using them properly. "Enemy is Hacking Supply Depot" "OK, I'd better head over there because these blueberries are just going to allow them to take that side of the map while all 15 of them gang up on that one Uplink next to a less relevant NULL Cannon. Maybe by the time I get 5 or 6 Kills a few of those leaches will come help..."

Yes people troll objectives but thats why veteran players usually split second start a hack to see if anyone comes running / sets off RE's. It can work both ways.
I also will wait to see if another installation is being hacked and I will start mine to kind of mask where I am, though Supply Depots are usually only the one on most maps which make that a giveaway.

Oh. So you just want all the benefits of stealth without having to use any stealth. |

That's a great idea, and I think that could be used inherently for scouts.

So no one is pulling overwatch anymore? Have people stopped clearing Hack-Points with Grenades too?

MAG used to be like that, where the whole platoon had a message that the sensor array was hacked. Then it was changed so that you only knew the AA was hacked. For the sensor and mortar, you only had a message that it was destroyed.
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim

I don't have a problem with the message but I do see that they are just useless. Besides, there are more than one supply depot in each match and the system doesn't tell you which depot in particular is being hacked. It's even more confusing with the installations since there are so many of them. That said, they don't really give away your position since there are no indicators telling the enemy which installation and now it seems all installations don't have any scan precision built into them anymore which makes it easier for scouts to hack without alerting anyone.
