I thought I would check out what I can buy with my money for DUST. However since BPO packs are gone, now the WAR packs are also gone (Not that the W.A.R packs interested me) I noticed that really aurum and boosters are the only thing I would even remotely consider purchasing.
CCP Can we get some more stuff to buy please? I am really hoping we could get customisations, paints, skins etc.....
I may buy a little aurum for the boosters but seriously CCP the store is looking barren right now!

Quite honestly, I don't want them to reintroduce more of these 100 copies of every role + every race packs. I'd rather they keep the PS store to Aurum purchases, then flood the "Bundle" section with stuff like Gallente Assault Packs (suits, AR's, and some reppers), for example.
And a paint bucket. I want to drop 5 Aurum on every fit to fill out the "Color" slot on my suit.

I am only going to buy boosters for so long. Aurum otherwise is mostly useless to me. The blueprints were awesome.
I think they would do well selling more customisation bits and bobs now. Corp logos on your suit, corp colours, suit reskins and the ability to pain your dropsuit (Within reason, obviously logis have to keep some yellow and you might only have a choice between racially acceptable colour schemes etc....)

As another thread already said, seeing as the FDU and State Protectorate suits are now, for some reason, available on the market... expect either recurring suits (black eagles, quafe, etc) and prefits(soxfour, remnant, etc) or just more sloppy packs like the armored assault pack or bundles of weapons you could just buy for aurum by specccing 1 level into each...
you know what would be nice??
BPO's...
cuz that's the only thing that makes sense (other than omegas) to use cold hard cash on

CCP has already stated they don't want to do BPO's (in their current iteration, anyways) anymore, and I think it's because it doesn't fit their business model of cheap and consumable cash items.

The only thing that makes sense is cosmetic items.
BPO's are essential for removal when the EVE/Dust514 economy becomes intertwined to ensure a steady influx of marketable economic based goods that won't completely bork either game in New Eden. It's better they removed them now, then deal with it later when even more people will have BPO's adding to the problem.
Boosters are only useful in the beginning before people finally start realizing they simply don't need any, and never needed any to begin with.
I would say most buy Aurum Gear just to have a spiffy looking suit, or to try out something they aren't skilled into yet.
But one thing that humans will spend ridiculous amounts of cash for, whether it be in a fantasy game or reality - different cosmetic appearances. |

This. They should get rid of all these differently colored Dropsuits with the exact same stats. Just give us a paint bucket and maybe 10 colors unlocked. You want more colors? You have to pay Aurum. Doesn't even have to be that cheap. Maybe 100 - 500 Aurum to unlock a color or 5000 Aurum to unlock a whole new color palette. I think best example how to do it would be Warframe. Of course they could also add special colors which are more expensive.
In the long run I think they would even profit from this. I'm more willing to buy some Aurum to permanently unlock new colors instead of wasting it for suits I could buy with ISK and would never see myself. Heck: Most players probably just buy one of these differently colored suits and just fav it, but never actually use it in battle.
Additionally it would get rid of the complaint how the suits are colored. Assault doesn't have to be white. And logistics don't have to be yellow.

It's far more profitable to provide mandatory cosmetics. League of Legends is a perfect example of how a company should profit from microtransactions. |

All they need to do to get me spending more is to lower the price of everything to the sale price they had a couple of months ago, 70% off. I think a lot of people stocked up on Proto Suits, Weapons, etc. Do they seem too greedy to you with the current prices? |

New things would require programmers. Unfortunately, CCP does not hire programmers. CCP hires community managers to attempt to hide the fact that they don't have any programmers.
Also marketing people. Because they have marketing people, they will indeed try to sell you something new -- or rather something old, that they have somehow managed to pitch as new. |

... I disagree. I myself want to skill into lots of different gear to be able to run different suits, vehicles, etc. I am currently able to run ProtoLogi and advanced Assault, Scout and Commando. (The Logi gear takes a hell of a lot of SP and the nerf of 1.8 is going to stretch that out even further.) I could go on that I would like to be able to max out a HMG Sentinel and LAV, etc. CCP has said it would take 7 years for someone to actually skill into absolutely everything.
Well for me personally the aurum weapons and dropsuits are nothing but an occasional vanity item I might get. Warbarge bling if you will.
Boosters are something I generally DO want however. My problem is that there really does seem like there is much a player like myself would want to buy.
Thing I would love seem to all be in the customisation area at the minute. Things like skins, dropsuit and vehicle paints thing of that nature.
Like I said I used to love the BPO packs and if they were still around I am sure I would buy more. However CCP does not want any more BPO`s so I am just trying to think of other ways to support the game as boosters are only one small part.
