The Code Encryptor is a low powered module that increases the time needed for any objective or installation to be hacked by the enemy team. This only works for a subsequent hack, and will stop working after that. For instance,
Player A has a Code Encryptor module, he hacks Objective B. If Objective B was to be hacked by an enemy player, than that player's hack speed will be reduced by x%.

Question time:
- Would the Mod be part of systems hacking or would the needed skill be branched off?
- If branched off would the skill increase the effect of the mode or increase your resistance to said mod?
- Do you think the amarr scout should get this as an inate bonus?
- High or low slot?
- Should there be a vehicle variat to protect your ride from enemies?
- If so then should this mod reduce the time it takes to recall your vehicle?

This module, like the code breaker, would be part of the systems hacking skill. In my opinion though, I'd like to see the systems hacking tree have branches, much like the Dropsuit Electronics skill tree. It could have a branch for code breakers, and a branch for code encryptors, each skill will unlock the corresponding module and provide a +% increase to its efficacy.

I believe having the skill increase the efficacy of this module will be the best way to go. Though a skill that could provide resistance to this module would be cool too. Possibly a "Code Decryption" skill.

No, I don't believe the Amarr Scout should receive this as a bonus. Though, I do believe that if there will ever be a dropsuit designed to hack, this would be a good bonus for that.

Yes, that would be a very nice addition, and no it shouldn't affect recall time.

I like it, but why low slot? Lows are crowded as it is. I say high slot, we need something other than damage mods and shields there. I guess precision enhancers will count in 1.8, but still. |
