I'm sick of scrubs swapping between heavy suits and abusing 3-5 seconds of invincibility when defending supply depots. There should be some danger to changing dropsuits in the field, as opposed to it being a win button. |

You honestly should not be able to switch fits for something like 15 seconds after taking damage from an enemy. This has been such a stupid feature in the game for way too long.

I completely agree with you. It especially stinks when I come in with a shotgun, get the person almost dead, and then get killed when they come at me with a new suit plus temporary invincibility.
I saw if you want to switch suits at a supply depot then there is a 5-10 second wait period as nanites prepare your suit. Preferably there would be a transition scene where the nanites strip you of your current suit then assemble your new suit over your body, during which time you have no shields or armor (a single stray hit will kill you). This would make changing suits a tactical choice, preferably with allies to cover you while you make the change. |

Don't let them take the supply depo then... I've been on both ends of this and well, it take a second or two to actually select the suit you want, which if you were actually about to kill the guy, would give you the time needed to kill him, only now you can take the headshots without even trying. |

I'm not even going to respond to "don't let them take the supply depot".
If you're smart about it, it doesn't take a few seconds, it takes about half a second. I've also had people quick switch to one fit, then sit invincible while they pick out another one, which refreshes their invincibility, at which point they turn and kill me.
Usually when I've had this used against me it's a brick proto logi switching into a cheap heavy suit. In both cases, it'll take me a solid second or two to burn them down, and they have no trouble switching in that time.
All that aside, are you really trying to defend this? Why should they be invincible after switching at a supply depot in the first place?

The removal of invincibility after changing suit has been requested for a very long time.
But should we be able to change suits at all? The full body suits mercs wear don't look very easy to put on and take off, maybe to the point where it would take an impractically long time to change suits in the field? 0.o
Instant stripping, an immortal merc's true power! -_-
