I have long held the belief that I was a mercenary in this game, where isk matters not allegiance. I dare to say at this point we are not at all in that situation. The market is missing. The market for items and equipment, the market for boosters, for services.

IRL if the cops don't want me to sell something I can walk down to the local fence and sell it to them or find someone who just doesn't want to know to buy an item or trade it for something different.

In Eve if I find I have too much of one module I can place a sell order to get rid of it to the highest bidder, it is far past time to merge the markets. Already I can see the Dust items in Eve, can look at all of the items, modules and weapons and see information about the items.

There is no realistic reason why not to add the market options into the game at this point in time, asset trading as well. Some may say "but eve players will just buy up everything and sell at extortionate amounts". To this I respond with, someone needs product to market, someone needs capital to make isk, and Eve businesses have often run with a 20-30% profit margin in mind. If you sell it to them you set the price, not the other way around.

Setting the npc market as unavailable to eve players as it is now and simply allowing the sale of all items at whatever price we want to set will resolve any Eve player monopoly issues that many people have indicated may arise from a market merger.

I agree the market is needed, and soon.

Although, I think the problem that have to be solved before the market becomes a reality is the multitude of regions in EVE, all with a different market. In EVE, I can make a trip of several jumps to buy and sell to the best price, but in Dust I can't (we are stuck in space).

I would prefer to have the same regional markets in EVE, and allow the Dust mercs to move home station, for a fee (basically a contract in where EVE capsuleers "physically" move you and your assets to the destination). If the new location is in a new region, you will have access to a new market.

Overall, if we are going to be part of New Eden universe, we have to succumb to its economy.

Make the market, let the Eve pilots take contracts to transport items, hell, let us contract them to do stuff and let them contract us to do stuff, make us matter to Eve, make them matter to us. Problem solved.

 I fully agree with you
But when you think about it, it is quite a lot of stuff that needs to be developed before this can happen. And I don't think CCP can implement "part of it" in incremental steps. The just need to go all in...

 should not be a problem
EvE capsuleer make the market and move things
Mercenaries buy and sell items in the station where they are

you can buy as a mercenary in the station where you are
I think as a player f2p you can not have the same freedom to a player who pays EvE
EvE players will drive the market and perhaps also the production
we will be just their customers

trade between private players can not imagine how it will work the BPC probably will not need to be delivered

Currently this is not a F2P game for me, the grand total thus far is around $360-400 on aurum and merc packs and the PS3 at around $300 plus the HDMI Tv so I can make out shapes and targets another $500 so estimated $1300 total cash spent just for this game, some of the items have multiple purposes but were originally intended for DUST.

As for freedom of movement, it was a selling point to get me into closed beta as well as open world gameplay and PVE...the promised features that drew me to the game would be really nice to see, the market and trades being but a few more to add to the list.
