Once 1.8 drops, this thread will become extremely relevant again. As Ghost said, it isn't our fault scouts have been unchanged for near a year. It's not the scouts fault that the development cycle left us at crickets and we filled the time by being a real community. CCP Saberwing- Be real man. WTF were we supposed to talk about for a whole year waiting for scout balance? To move it because we were having fun despite any change save nerfing us for such a long time is like a slap to the face. Please be reasonable, and move it back. We help your new player base, and Shotty is single handedly responsible for spawning like threads for other roles. don't be dicks. Move it back. You gotta hustle if you wanna make a dolla

Of course we throw in our other colorful observations and have camaraderie building side-discussions, which I think encourages new scouts to enter the community if they see the thread in General. It's a sub-community that has evolved into a home for many a scout, and has even kept interest for me and others up in this game when it otherwise would have dwindled to the point of leaving. It doesn't really fit in the locker room... we all still go there and discuss technical stuff.... just not as much since we haven't heard much since the 1.8 preliminary content was released a while ago.... guess we just can't stay quiet. We've enjoyed talking amongst friends in the meantime....

But, I think that without someone putting in the time to make another registry, complete with all of the links to the 1.8 relevant information, a new thread would not meet with the same success as the old one. And I believe the old one would continue to grow with relevant as well as "OT" discussion. I mean didn't a new scout registry just pop up yesterday asking for all OG scouts to sign up? Shotty is a difficult act to follow and now that the OG thread has a life of it's own I think we can probably just find a way to make it useful. Maybe someone on page 514 can edit their post to include links to relevant 1.8 discussion in other threads, and other pages in the OG thread. If I had a link on p.514 I'd do it. Or on page 1 of the OG registry, somewhere easy to find and access for the newbros.....
