Dreams are made with several thousand tons of steel. Now if only CCP would stop giving us dreams and start giving us results.  And perhaps the ability to finally order installations too... that's another thing that's been there for over a year now... >.<
Sometimes I miss never seeing tanks in a battle... then I remember the mystical flying soma, and I can't help but smile.

I been saying an RDV mode would be sweet.
Here's how I picture it: You skill into "RDV Pilot Skill (patent pending)" and wait on the Warbarge for a vehicle to be called in. Once vehicle gets called you bring in the ordered vehicle. You fly in and BOOM get killed by a Rail Tank....

If you hover in one spot to get taken down by a rail tank then you deserve to be as drunk as Scotty is, but the idea of a combat role that ferrys vehicles is strangely intruging to me. |

Yup. Though dropships feel more like light aircraft most of the time. The lights are "supposed" to be the jets, but I'm not sure how that will work in practice with them needing to be comparatively paper shells next to dropships...
I'm not really sure what a "heavy" aircraft would look like or do functionally. A slow-moving gun-ship? Troop transport seems redundant. Some sort of anti-armor unit? A giant logistics behemoth? I don't know.
I also figure they might want to add Amarr and Minmatar ships before they go crazy with new ship types.
Dren and Templar equipment stats, wrong since release.

I would prefer to see full suit and vehicle parity and fighters before heavy aircraft. The first heavy aircraft will probably be a heavy transport similar to a pelican from halo, we need bigger maps and more players than that. |

I agree completely, and I have some proposals on that point.
I assume that designing AV weapons is also quicker than finishing the vehicles, and will likely happen before it too.

OMG! You just solved my problem of a new way to camp for SP and isk! Will RDV pilots be the next scourge of the game next to snipers and tankers for scrub "coward" tactics? I'm totally in.
Talk about trolling. "You wanted a vehicle? Lol, you ain't gettin' it!"
I'd rather just have a button you can press to tell the RDV to go ahead and drop the vehicle if it is in a good spot or else recall the RDV.

I wouldn't hold my breath for new vehicles in 2014. Hell, I wouldn't even hold my breath for old vehicle variants to be reintroduced this year.
