I tried running my alt and after 1 match I turned off my PS3 and walked away. I am not a sore loser nor did I rage quit. I walked away because I am so used to my main and how I am able to fight back compared to my alt. For example my main I can take damage and give it back, on my alt I take a few hits and I am down. My main has 36+ Million SP my alt has less than 2 million. So what is the point in all this. The truth is if my alt and with my experience is having a hard time staying competitive how can I expect anyone just joining the game to have fun. It reminds me of a slipknot song that goes as
" I push my fingers into my eyes, its the only thing that slowly stops the ache but its made of all the things I have to take".
So what I am trying to say to all who are new to the game is to stay with it. You are the future of this game and soon to be the generals that will lead future clones to their glorious death. So we maybe a small number today, tomorrow we maybe the legion that takes over eve and make them Space B***** regret ever doubting us. I think its a time for a change, a time when the clones take the fight to them.

I whole heartedly agree with this message.
Stick with it, and eventually you'll be able to say "I was here when being a new guys was hell".
Provided they ever fix pubstomping.

+1 for the slip knot reference.

If you are new and reading this please consider the following. These very same players no life all day long killing you in droves so they can stay in the front. You will never catch up. You can't even purchase the free gear we use any more. CCP will sell you boosters that you need to get there sooner but never tell you that you can't actually get there. We are using those same boosters.
it will get fun if enough people are dumb enough to walk the same path you are walking now. But not for another six months. I wasted a year of my life on Dust because I bought in to the progressive universe thing. All you will ever get is progress reports that inform you they are still working on the same problems we have had since I was new a year ago.
