My idea is simple make a map that is meant only for fun. Limit the suits to only militia suits and equipment and no vehicles at all. Have no ISK reward at all and the SP reward only half what it would be.
Sounds to simple but it would fix a few issues, like the huge gap between leaving the school house out into the real battlefield. Also would allow others to go to a place where they don't have to worry about there ISK.
This could be easily be implement in lore by assigning a planet to be the training world where mercs from across eve can come to train.
We all remember how much fun you had in the rookie training ground where everyone was on the same level of equipment, where the true skills come out and shine.
Any other suggestions anyone else may have please share. |

and no redlines at all if some one wants to snipe out in the hills on their side of the map they can be found and beat to death. |

Rookie training grounds was only fun because they kick people like me out after one match... Even only playing DUST for the first time...
Training grounds don't ask a new player to drop an Uplink, Nanohive, Needle, Repair tool.. They don;t ask you to call in a Militia Tank/LAV/Dropship before you leave...
You barely get a taste of what DUST even is there...
Then we get People that enter the general Population and think every aspect of DUST except what they experienced in the Battle academy is"unfun" and the game should be done like that.
There are massive balance issues but one of the biggest factors to anything is the average player CCP produces out of the battle academy.. And they should feel utterly ashamed. |

I think that some amount of CCP logic intended this to be a feature of FW. Even if you use only MLT gear, you will be handsomely rewarded in salvage (slightly broken without P2P market) and LP.

I personally like this idea because it would allow me to play matches based on skill. Not if I bump into a heavy at point blank range. DUST 514 right now it's about tanks and who has the better gear. I want to fight other people who have the same stuff as me.
And no, I'm not a militia trooper who sucks at dust and is complaining because I die a lot. I actually run proto gear and tend to top the leaderboards. I want my victims to have a fair chance is all. |
