By this time in Dust, I've imagined that we would be knee deep into espionage. Not simply because this is New Eden but because we were actually working towards big spy rings and black collar work.
Remember S.I. and Jenza sending out those AWOXers when PC first came around? I believe a many corps had trouble initially getting into PC because of that. In fact, the Golden Age of Planetary Conquest was really muddy and dirty. Backstabbing and lying and whatnot. It was hard to keep your hands clean when you needed to do otherwise to get an advantage on corps. Really quirky times back then.
Or remember people stealing ISK from corps to place into other corps and not just doing it because they can or simply got pissed at the CEO? Made you really watch your back or play dirty with the worst of them.
Or do you remember those few moments where there were actual information leaks? I remember one time where General Tso's Dust side PC plans were outed due to one Mithidrates IV.
Or how about The Info Broker. Some people loved him, some people hated him, others found him to be quite annoying. Before his alter-ego was revealed, he brought up a few accusations that shook Molden Heath(People will deny it but there was plenty of talking going on about his "leaks," to say the least).
But blah, none of that is going down today. Even the Eon War, which is no doubt still a big war no matter how you slice it, didn't have much Espionage going down. It was simply Big Guy vs Little Guy. Why have we made such a drastic turn from back then? Right now, it seems like everyone's shaking hands and kissing ass . That's not how it was last year. Some of us were really at each other's ******* throats. It was brutal .
And on that note, why did we never have a corp dedicated to Espionage and Intel Selling? Seemed like the perfect idea. A neutral corporation who sells information to whoever wants it for a certain price, making their own prices. Hiring people or simply just buying this information from corporation members to hold for later selling. The only thing such a corporation would have to worry about is tarnishing it's brand of service.
tl;dr: YOU GUYS SUCK

Sure, but in the spirit of democratizing espionage, this public directory can help anyone contact these players to switch allegiance or participate in a join scam. Edit: I made a change to sweeten the ticket deal.

I'd actually get into full fledge spying if most of my friends and allies disappeared from the game. Would be fun but at the same time, I wouldn't want to be putting my pals in bad situation for my business. Plus that would also mean there's less people who remember how my voice sounds.

I'd argue differently on the "smaller bowl" issue, especially with evidence beforehand of Espionage back when PC first started. Having an expanded game and the rest of New Eden looking to infiltrate Dust corps would help but the overall issue is that Dust players aren't doing it. Kinda hope in the future that someone takes the initiative and do it. Maybe one day, I'll step into those shoes...

Lol that's exactly what I'm thinking. Anyone could join a corp and make side money by selling information. Right now it wouldn't be as lucrative but if something like a war breaks out, it would be quality pay.

Burn? You mean reveal myself as a spy?
Nah but I wouldn't need to do that lol. Just make another toon on another account and use it as a mediator. Of course we'd have to run through different security measures just to make sure when we can track who's getting ISK from where, it doesn't connect directly to both accounts.

As others have said, the meta of DUST 514 is far below that of EVE, and lacking in many parts. DUST CEOs lack key features that EVE players can do, prime example shares. An EVE player can buy all the shares for a DUST corp and hijack it, and the DUST CEO can only sit there and watch as his corp is no longer his own due to factors he couldn't control at all.
And really, espionage is redicilously easy, because proper background checks are non-existent due to lack of API. And really, there isn't much need for espionage, the only thing you can really steal is ISK in some form or another, which has lost its value quite a bit due to PC. Heck, the biggest impact you can ever make to New Eden as a DUST player is through FW. Nullsec power blocs we can only ever dream of affecting.
Don't forget the fact that not a lot of guys here haven't played EVE, and aren't aware of its embrace of the meta. When someone betrays their trust, steals all the ISK and disbands the corp, they cry that its unfair on the forums. Even some of the big corps have this mentality of death before dishonor, which has led to their doom(ANONYMOUS, anyone?). I don't think that DUST is really ready for the full scale meta EVE holds.
And to note about FW teamkillers, there is a fine line between using game mechanics to give you an advantage through unusual methods, and abusing mechanics to grief players for the lulz(shotgun needle guys definitely fall into this category). Just keeping one person from doing anything for a battle is hardly going to make a difference.
If I really wanted to make an impact in FW through non-conventional means, I wouldn't just go there by myself using a shotgun and a needle. I'd get my friends, form a squad and make strategic strikes throughout the match to let the enemy overrun heavily defended positions, and let them win the match. If I wanted to disrupt my squad, I could "accidentally" drop a remote and oops, I just blew up the whole squad. Sorry! I could aim that OB on a friendly location and kill everyone if I wanted do. If I had many friends, I'd q-sync all of them and tell them to do absolutely nothing, let the enemy win.
Heck, I could get my EVE friends in space to get to those planets and blow up the guys setting up for OBs and replace them with my own. I could infiltrate the enemy ranks and lead the OB support to a trap, while my own forces get ready. My schemes could be countered too, maybe that trap was actually a counter-trap, and while we fight on the ground the OB support instead selects another squad for OB support, and bombards us to death. This all could be just as well be applied to PC.
THAT is the meta I want to see in this game, and most likely the vision CCP has. Month-long schemes to gain an enemy's trust, and betraying them at the critical moment when they are the most vulnerable, not running around aimlessly griefing people with a shotgun and a needle.
But the point still stands that there is hardly no benefit at all to doing all this. Elaborate schemes are too troublesome and too time-consuming, when the only commodity you have are ISK and PC districts. When we get things line open-player market, nullsec integration to PC, ability to select which planets to fight on in FW and generally make DUST impact EVE a lot more, then we can start using the meta to its fullest capacity.

You cant transfer districts to another corp/alliance
You cant steal items
You cant disband an alliance
Your hands are tied, even information about movement of a corp or alliance doesnt matter because those who are in control of PC are strong enough to deal with anything right now

Sure, but I am looking for all identifiable roles that CCP has currently unlocked for dust toon. In other news a nifty thing you can do for do corporate sabotage is get an Eve pilot with corporate management skills to impart their ability to boost dust corp numbers. On the back end very few dust bunnies understand how shares work in this arangement.
