any suggestion for a dual sidearm fit for minmatar assault?
My fit (adv minmatar assault)
HIGH
Complex Shield Extender 2x
Complex Sidearm Damage mod
Weapons
GN-20 Specialist Flaylock or Adv Scrambler pistol (not sure what to use)
M209 Assault SMG
Equipment
Remote Explosive
LOW
Basic Armor Plate
Enh Repair
Should I go dual smgs or dual scramblers or mix?
I can only please one person per day. Today is not ur day, tomorrow doesn't look too bright either.

Scramblers are juicy if you can aim for those head shots. Otherwise go smg. Surprisingly ammo might become a problem with dual scps. You might want to consider a nanohive. Heavies go down to scps anyway.

I personally wouldn't touch the walk speed with that plate, 2 reactives would be nice depending on skills. 2 subs, a nano, flux, and just strafe and spray would be the fit I would use. I never reduce my walk speed on any of my pub fits.
What's not to love about the scrambler rifle, the thing is a precision weapon and at the same time a shotgun.

I would go with the scp over the flaylock, but you certainly could replace the SMG for the flaylock as the flaylock is an excellent finishing weapon if you are accurate. I personally would drop the plate and go with either a kin cat or a ferroscale plate as you will want to be able to close the distance with your limited range. The kincat will help to use your suits built in bonuses.
Another option is a reactive plate and a dampener as kal stated above me. |

I would definitely fit a Scrambler Pistol
But don't fit two scrambler pistols, they run out of ammo so fast...at least at level 5 they seem to.

I recommend that you stay away from the Flaylock without a scout suit as you need to be always jumping away if the target becomes too close. With the question of the other slot, nova knives are also a choice, but I would go with the pistol as it is a better targeted striker at range which will save your smg for close and the pistol is still good at close quarters if you need it. The ammo thing is an issue at times since you may be far from any nano/supply depo. I say if you are running the assult for the rounds the smg is the best resource since it can potentially kill more than one red in a clip. |

The dampening of a suit is important but with just one enhanced mod you can seriously alter who sees you and how close you get before they do. Also, natural precision for a standard scanner is not that great it's only when you are dodging the advanced and above that it get necessary to use mods. |

ScP is freaking awesome. use that.
I addition to being better than the flaylock because the flaylock has been nerfed to all hell you have two weapons whose damage types compliment each other, as the ScP can eat through shields and the SMG can finish off armor pretty fast.
I run dual sidearms a fair bit, and the problem I run into the most is running out of ammo for the pistol so you might want to bring a hive.
I use the assault ScP, but I'd suggest giving the breach and burst variants a shot. you might like those better.
Try to kill it all you want CCP, I still <3 my laser.
