I had a match recently were: My team won, the null cannons were switching sides often enough that both MCC's were almost destroyed so it was long, and there was lots of proto players on both teams.
At the end of the battle however my friend's payout didn't make any sense. He got 26,000 isk when in 10th place. This was his actual end of match payment not his profit so there is no confusion.
So what about these conditions gives only 26k? |

Happened to me and I am not even in a corp. I came in 8th place and I got only 64K. I had over 1K WP and was doing very well so why the low ISK payout?

No, he was in a combination of std. and starter fits. He's pretty frugal. |

I've noticed the payouts being more varied lately. I've gotten high and low payouts and can't really figure out why.

Yea, I want to say they seem lower too. I got 1800 wp this morning and only made 195k before tax. I was third on the leader board. In the past I remember getting 150k for 300 wp before.

I got 3rd place with 1560 war points and only got 87,000 isk... Which seemed odd to me.

Basically, if you are not doing good (i.e. being helpful and getting a lot of WP) and someone at the top of your team kills a **** ton of people and gets a lot of WP, you won't get very much. I once got just 1200 WP, and I was paid 400k+ because the person in second only had 200-300 WP. I've also had a match where I got 4000+ WP and 600k+ ISK. It's all distributed specifically by WP.
