Flying with a buddy in an assault dropship, shot once, big hit, activated hardeners and afterburner, another big hit as soon as the afterburner comes on, HP at 0, crashing and burning, I stayed in the dropship to find out what the hell hit me, I hit the ground and I get this on the kill feed.

I've seen "enemy name". Dude is mean. He probably shot you through the window.

I've been lucky enough to take out a tank or two with a well-timed sniper shot (i.e. after all the hard work was already done.) It can happen.
Life is killing me.

I've seen it put the wrong weapon in the kill ticker from time to time. I know it was the wrong weapon because I was the one who pulled the trigger.

It was a red line rail p*ssy, he jumped out of his tank the moment he got you burning and began recalling. By the time the killfeed popped up, his tank was already recalled.

Every time I've seen the killfeed list the wrong thing there was a DS involved. I believe it will still usually happen if you kill a DS with an AV grenade.
Running a blaster tank in ambush is like bringing Anthrax to a pillow fight.

I'm guessing because the way CCP handles the killfeed isn't threadsafe so when two people die at the exact same moment the weapons/names and various other things can get mixed up. If this is the case it'd be an easy fix. However it is also very likely you only had ~20-30 HP left and a sniper hit you guys doing the final bit of damage.
I have verified the first thing is actually something that occurs, getting kills with an RS-90 in my Logistics suit equipped with an SB-39 for example.

Yeah I have shot down a DS with a rail installation before and it came up Medic 1879 (Scrambler rifle) Poor pilot, I was using a combat rifle at the time so I think the killfeed is a bit senile.

I've taken out dropships with forge guns and it has said random weapons.... from Militia Assualt rifle to Missle instalation, to Viziam SCrambler Rifle.... all things ive never used lol... Just a glitch not a hack lol
