Holy ****, why have I not tried this before?
Most. Fun. Ever.
I just pretend I'm playing my NK or shotgun scout and flank, flank, flank, but then when I get there, I've got 1100 EHP and a HMG instead of <300EHP and knives. I can surprise 3-4 people in a group and actually kill them all, rather than shanking one and then getting turned into swiss scout cheese as soon as their buddies notice.

Sentinel A-1
HMG
Toxin SMG
Flux grenades
comp. heavy damage mod
2x enhanced kincats
Sprints at 6.22 - not a scout, but not half bad for a STD heavy.
Who else has converted to the kincat heavy? |

Kins are awesome. Try 1 green and three reds on a Sentinel. I have my red and green at 5 and would highly recommend it. But you can tell there is a nerf on speed for when I have my scout max with speed it feels like its running in sand.

In order to fit 2 Complex KincatGÇÖs, Complex Damage Mod, and Complex Armour Repair on an Advanced Sentinel, I had to skill Engineering to 5, and Heavy Weapon Operation to (I think 4?) just to squeeze out enough PG to fit Locus Grenades (I canGÇÖt fit Flux), and to fit a sidearm I was forced to resort to a Flaylock pistol which requires no Power Grid.

Yep, with four complex kincats you can get 7.1 Speed, or slightly more than the Caldari and Gallante Assaults.

True, it may be far from the most EFFECTIVE fit, but it is fun zipping arround faster than most medium frames as an HMG heavy! Mix it with a burst hmg and damage mods and you become a king of blitzkrieg madness.

boundless is 10 PG, say u have fitting op V that goes to 7
so 67
no sidearm, no nade, complex dmg is 9 PG... nope not happening
im sure u could throw 4 complex kin cats on with a base hmg and militia dmg or something but pure bare bones

Checked the fitting, I have CPU/pg/fitting op all maxed out but it does not use a 4th complex kincat. Still wicked fast for a fatty though.

personally 2/1 and a plate or rep much like poppa's fit is the way to go
myself, it depends on the situation, but I prefer stacking plates and having a wingman tending to the fat people ;)
but the speed fit has its place as well. especially in pubs

I still do it. Even if it only seems faster it is beneficial. Its better to have a ScP out when I meet someone Ono on one.

Only if they change the bonus to something slightly less obviously underpowered... less than a basic cardiac reg at proto level, versus more than one free complex module for Gal, Cal, and Min? I like hard-mode but my inner min-maxer just won't accept that. |

Ya, but this will be possible with the new Gallente Sentinel because I believe it has a sizeable chunk of more PG available.
Not to mention it also has a faster Sprint than the currently only available Amarr Sentinel
