The rail tank should loose 250m range so that they actually come onto the battlefield. This doesn't take away from its sniping abilities as that's still most of the map from just outside the redline. This would only make it so that rail tanks can't snipe from deep within the red. Additionally the rail tank should loose some elevation on its turret, it is a very effective tank destroyer and should be treated as such. This would also mean that if a rail tanked wanted anti air abilities then it needs to fit a top turret to cover its blind spots. (Credit goes to judge for this idea)
The missile turret should gain elevation as missile turrets are the anti aircraft turret. When I fly into the redline to blow up rail turrets or tanks missile installations always auto lock and fire on me, other turrets don't do this. This would emphasize missile turrets as the go to anti air turret rather than rail guns. Then you have three tank turrets each with their own roles, rail turrets for anti tank, blaster turrets for anti infantry and missile turrets for anti air. (Credit goes to halla murr for this idea)
So yes I'm saying "Nerf" the rail tank to bring it into its role and stop this redline shinanaginze and give the missile turret a higher elevation to counter dropships. |

iirc Judge suggested tanks should need to put a small turret on the top of the large to gain air defense.

that was the jist of it.
there was a CCP response in a thread earlier saying they had talked with judge, and were looking into possible changes, but that the Rail projectile isnt calculated (?) by the server or some such, meaning that it isnt possible to do anything via a hotfix i'd guess.
