I miss every darn shot.... But I promised myself I will get good with it. Any advice? (Except for telling me to actually hit people with it... I know that  )

Actually you don't try and hit people with it, you aim at people's feet and allow the splash damage to kill them.
I could list the ways how we Amarr are better than you, but your lesser mind wouldn't comprehend it.

You could try aiming for knees. If you hit, ouch. If you miss, you will probably do at least some splash. |

I feel like the splash radius is about the size of a raindrop, which doesn't help. I do try shooting at people's feet sometimes, but it seems like I never hit inside that radius.

Skill it up, the splash gets better.
Attack from odd angles (preferably from above)
Get used to the arc and travel time and you can direct hit people with it.
Carry flux for shield tankers.
Accept that this will be a very challenging weapon to use.
Not sure if I am the alt or the main anymore Llast I checked Minja was getting more use.

I use NK and Flaylock on the majority of my fits (Minja/Pirate)
Stick with it, it's awesome fun, and so satisfying when you get a well earned kill.
Not sure if I am the alt or the main anymore Llast I checked Minja was getting more use.

Aim for the feet and it only gets better when you invest sp.
Also, the STD flaylock is kind of terrible. Use the the GN-20.

I have some good experience in using a Flaylock and the advice I would give is to aim for the feet and get up high with it, even if its just a little hill, cuz it becomes a challenge to shoot up at people rather than down on there head.
I am very good with the Flaylock (would like to say the best) and invested in it quite a bit (proto plus level 5prof).
I even sometimes run a Flaylock fit with 1 proto and 1 adv or std, so I would give that a try, also it works best on a scout so u can jump and hit em in mid air

U know that moment when ur face to face with a guy and u both run out of ammo and its all about who has the better secondary

If they dance a lot I go for the feet/knees, or jump shots. Otherwise i prefer direct damage.
If they are skirting walls and cover then all the better, even a miss is a hit

I run flaylock on every single one of my fitings. As well as having nearly maxed out Flaylock upgrades (save Optimization that's only at level 2) So take a second to read this if you are truely interested in learning how to turn your Flaylock into a SLAYLOCK.
First, dump your SP into RAPID RELOAD. This will ensure that if you miss many of your first shots, you will have another volley coming less than 2 seconds later.
Don't be afraid to fit 2 Slaylocks on your suit untill you get the Reload all the way up. (Getting a commando suit also helps reduce sidearm reload time, +5% PER LEVEL, that's a quarter of the reload time right there cut off.)
Second, make sure you are fast. The Slaylock is meant to be an on the GO weapon, unlike the SMG which slows you down when you aim to shoot and fire a whole clip.... that just makes you an easy target. Therefore, Kinetic Catilizers and Cardio enhances are your best friend when taking the Slaylock Express.
Third, and last tip I will give you before I devulge too much info to take in. Stay HIGH. @_@ |

It's like using the plasma cannon, it just has no real optimal use. If you use it expect to be bad, you will lose most engagements as you are using an inferior weapon. People don't use PLC and flaylocks to be good, they use them to feel like a bad ass when they finally kill someone. |
