ok so i just bought a BPO and the guy said you have to redeem it on the playstation store, but i thought you had to redeem it somewhere on dust514.com
so i go to the PSStore and enter the code and it says it's already been used or invalid
can someone help me out, if you really do have to enter it at dust514.com can someone provide a link, ccp is so obscure with what to do and how.

Sorry but someone sold you a dead product. BPOs are no longer able to be redeemed. You can buy them but they won't work.
Edit. I think you can contact sony and get credit to your psn.

Well the guy might be wrong
Go to Dust514.com/user log into your PSN account and then there should be a section to redeem code.
^Some codes are redeemed there other through PSN most PSN codes are expired.

CCP has instructions on how to properly do the transactions with these codes. They're in the code bazaar in the market section of the forums. If you have problems, file a formal petition via the link before.

Technically, DUST codes, especially if they are templar codes or anything bought directly from CCP without needing Sony as an intermediary are protected by CCP. You shouldn't be scammed with them.
Keep in kind that CCP does allow certain kinds of scams in Eve and DUST. It's just that codes are protected against this.

all of this was done in code bazaar, and ccp doesn't have instructions on how to redeem the codes, only on how the transaction should be completed.

Still, if the codes don't work as promised by the seller, file a petition. As far as I understand it, codes are protected from scams. If CCP can't give you the items promised by the code, the least they could do is reverse the ISK transfer you made by forcing the seller to give you a refund.
