I've laid down my Scramblers and have picked up Rail Rifles. Getting sick and tired of being killed from a bazillion meters away when my weapon that shoots a god damned focused beam of amplified LIGHT can't hit them because it has lesser range.
Maybe CCP doesn't understand physics, but LIGHT out ranges everything, be it bullets, globs of plasma, or titanium sabot rounds.
I feel like a complete and utter scrub, but if you can't beat em, join em. I'll bring the Scrambler back out once 1.8 hits.
I could list the ways how we Amarr are better than you, but your lesser mind wouldn't comprehend it.

My standard RR with just 1 rank in it generally outperforms my duvolle with proficiency 4

If you want to feel less scrubby, don't go past level 1 on the operations skill.  I think you actually downgraded though, that scrambler rifle is a monster.
Sometimes I miss never seeing tanks in a battle... then I remember the mystical flying soma, and I can't help but smile.

I know that feel.
When within my range, my Viziam with complex damage mods will annihilate any RR user, but as soon as they step back a bit, I've got a pea shooter and they're shooting mini vans at me.

After throwing 3,000,000 SP in the trash (Flaylocks) I'm extremely skeptical about investing in any new weapon before the nerf hammer ravishes it.

I don't know, man. I've been having a blast with my Templar Scrambler freefit lately. My mileage could be because I'm using it on a fatsuit, however...

Well I had already put points into the RR because it is the weapon of choice for my Caldari allies. CCP stated it is getting a damage nerf come 1.8 though.
I could list the ways how we Amarr are better than you, but your lesser mind wouldn't comprehend it.

The LR fall off after optimal is too steep, you aren't being out ranged, you are being out dpsed because the fall off is so severe that after optimal the efficiency drops to around 7%. CCP needs to be very careful with changing the LR, it just needs a few small tweaks to become the beast it really is.

Why'd ya decide not to run? Didn't want to deal with the negativity?

I have an ELM on a fat suit and I melted 7 people last night who were trying to RR me. They ended up dropping a strike but some how it missed me. Made me laugh because if the reds drop a strike I always die to it, never fails. I had good cover and they couldn't move out of their spawn in our direction without coming into optimal. LR prof 3 with a complex light at optimal is unstoppable the only thing better is the Amarr assault with a Viziam.

Couldn't care less about negativity, I actually thrive off of haters, it's the fact I'm in my final semester of college and I just don't have the time to go to fanfest, conference call, etc etc.

The Rail is a tough weapon to fight...
But the ScR is clearly the more OP weapon...
I've never had a RR hit over 300hp in a single shot
I like rails, I kind of hate them too but we need something to stop the
Proto stompers running in the open in packs... the RR does that nicely
Plasma Cannon will have its chance if AR/HAV 514 is ever fixed

When i turn on Aim Assist it makes me feel the same way.
I've joined the cheap side - SVER logi/Exile AR. With all the RR Heavies & tanks tooling around out there i just don't care anymore. My numbers haven't changed much tbh.
I support SP rollover.

I find that having a BPO ScR keeps the temptation to switch at bay.
I still use a CR on my primary logi suits tho, can't be helped, the difference in fitting cost is ridiculous. Maybe I can stop once the new equip bonus comes in. Then again, if they fix the LR at trhe same time, it's a whole different story....

Nothing out ranges Caldari my friend thats how it works, somebody got to have the longest one.  I dont use scr mucch anymore but its not because of range, its because of armor tanking so yes you are better off with an armor based weapon and cr is great also. Aslong as armor stacks as easily as it does and hvy with rrs persist Im sticking with armor based guns. I think what alot of people miss with this weapon is the way it changes the field of battle, it literally stretches the potentional kill zone far out side of our passive radar and many times movement is greatly affected by this, in many games I kill people in transition, moving from point to point. I think this style of play will take some getting used to. |
