Twas in an ambush when i discovered this.
I was on their team Vs a squad of 0.H and a member of FA.
These players greatly outskill myself in terms of gun game,but i tried to participate anyway.
3 members of the Nyain squad left near the end for some reason.
It was a fun match to watch even though i couldn't contribute much.
End result?A loss
Our teams 1 slot:Addictpunk
3rd Kaughst
Etc.
Enemy team:
1st Iron rain 88-FA
2nd 1st Lt Tiberious(?)- 0.H
as well as others
And the legendary Mr.Musturd was in attendance too,wielding a boundless CR.(killed him once,woo!)
Only users lose drugs.
Time wounds all heels.

Well that's stupid.
FA and 0.H are challenging corps to face,i would think they would be proud for doing well against them.
Afterall a fair loss is much more satisfying than a cheap win.

I thought if you make at least 100 WP in a match, even after leaving, it still counts as a loss. Is this incorrect? |

Setting aside the usual forum NS bashing:
They have some great players, but they have a very narrow set of tactics that they appear to drill into the whole corp. It's like a football team that only uses three good plays.
When it works it works frustratingly well, but when the other team is prepared for it, it falls apart. Despite the ego you'll see on the forums from time to time, they're not the new Imperfects or PFBHz.
You can't deny that they're better than almost any other corp at organized teamwork, though. It's just that it makes them predictable.

I was in a Dom match last week and there were several Nyain San and Chan people on our side. We lost, and by a wide margin also.
It's a trap! In this patch we can't repel firepower of that magnitude! - Admiral Ackbar would say in ambush w Nyain San

By the way - Musturd is good, but sweet baby Jeebus you guys don't have to slobber on his **** every time you see him. He relies on situational and map awareness. Get some for yourself.

There are only a handful of players that are really on another level these days (maybe a couple dozen or so..there are some war room threads that mention a few of them). Long ago, exceptional players + more sp = a completely different ballpark. Now that a lot of people have access to fully upgraded proto gear, only the very best stand above the rest. Nyain San are very, very good and play well as a team, but at least you feel like you're playing the same game when you face them (or any other top corp I suppose). This was not always the case with the dominant corps in the game (imps and such). So, ah, I guess I'm agreeing with the OP. However, FA is a good corp so it's not really a surprise that they are able to compete with NS.

P.S. Mr. mustard is an exceptional scout, but if you happen to catch him out in the open he melts like any other scout. Acknowledging that someone is good at what they do doesn't imply subservience, incompetence or that you're fawning over them. Some people are just good at what they do. Believe it or not, you can complement someone without irony or sarcasm and it doesn't diminish you as a person. |
