A weapon with half fittings shouldn't be more than 100% effective than comparable systems.
The Combat Rifle preforms better than the AR at the AR's optimal, and then continues to dominate for another 15-20 meters.
And then you see the fitting cost.
What the **** were you thinking CCP? |

INB4 RR is more OP then the CR ranting (which it is), tanks ruin the game and the red line is where scrubs go to die.
Noob isn't really a status, it's the online equivalent of a 5-year old calling you a poopy fart head.

I switched back to a basic assault rifle when I unlocked my prototype minmatar logistics suit. I was honestly surprised at how well it took down enemies.
Sure I may have prof 3 in it, but my most recent AR success story involves me being hunted down 2 on 1 by a proto gal logi and an advanced Cald. Assault both using rail rifles. The AR is still effective in the right hands, but this little story has nothing to do with a combat rifle, but my statement still stands.
I have recently upgraded to a gek since my suit could handle it, now whenever I will eventually be invited to perform logi work in a PC, I can equip the Fed. Specialist Duvolle.

You can pretty much fit a proto combat rifle for the same fitting cost as your gek. And you end up with 15-20 yards more effective range. |

Apparently they didnt learn that lesson... Not really as ridiculous as the flaylock was though. RR is far worse IMO.
Don't worry I expect an over nerf soon. That's what happened to the flaylock afterall. |

The way i'd like to see the Gallente AR is: nobody wants to get close, with the exceptions of cloaked shotty scouts and tanked repped heavies.
That thing should melt face up close.
I support SP rollover.

Not trying to say it's ok...
But CR is min...the least technological inclined race.
On would assume they would try to design weapons fitting with this theme.
(AKA a M-16 IRL has 0 fitting costs)
Only users lose drugs.
