I was wondering why anyone would use an assault scrambler rifle considering it is 80% efficient on armour. I sometimes use it but it feels weak. What do you think? |

Because on my Carthum Assault Scrambler Rifle I personally have proficiency V and two Complex Light Damage Modifiers; it melts anything I look at....that's why.
I could list the ways how we Amarr are better than you, but your lesser mind wouldn't comprehend it.

It is way easier to fit than the vanilla scrambler.
It doesn't overheat as easily as the vanilla scrambler.
It is very decent in CQC.
It sounds AWESOME.
take your pick.
While there is no better place to be wealthy than the Gallente Federation, there is no hell worse for the poor either.

The only reasons I can think of is: 1) for fittings cost (but you'd still be better off with the std version), 2) you suck at pressing R1 (and you should feel bad about yourself).
That's all I got.

I've been using the CRD-9 recently. With Prof V and just one damage mod, pretty much only heavies have been getting very far.

Perhaps I should give it another go. I usually use the normal variant but I am bad at using it. I guess this is easier to use because it fully automatic. |

I'm afraid of pressing R1 too fast because of instant overheat.

I can get off 19 shots before overheat at "as fast as I can pull the trigger". I rarely overheat.

I use it on my logi suits because it is great at close to mid range and I don't have to worry about overheat because I don't have a side arm to switch to

Because of the 700 DPS against Shields with a Single Complex Damage mod.
It eats shields for breakfast, lunch, AND DINNER.
Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face.

It's good but I stopped using it when a lot of people went Galente, you will lose to any Galente user who knows how to aim. As for most of you "ASSAULT" is the fully auto version you know the one you don't use cuz it sucks.

It eats through ammo, and doesn't have anywhere near the alpha strike capibility of the default model.
However it has a huge clip, high dps, and effectively no overheat. It's also easier to fit.
It's like a precision HMG.

I use it on my commando because the normal scrambler rifle doesn't really benefit from a reload bonus and isn't great for taking on large groups. I like normal scrambler rifles better, but the assault is better for the suppression style gameplay I've been running lately. Large clips with minimal downtime when reloading.
And Aero said unto his children, "LET THERE BE A REGISTRY"

ITS A GODSENT of a gun.
Aero and I both agree its best to be run on a Commando suit fulfilling the roleof the absent LMG.
Suppression is nice but the AScR is accurate out to 60m, and has nice DPS, solid magsize, rof, and off hip accuracy.
The AScR is a beautiful gun with prof 5 I can already tell.
