I have to say.
I miss the old days. The reaaaaaaaally old days. When a dropship could go 30/0 easy just by squishing people because you took no impact damage from hitting the ground.
I can't even begin to explain how hard I used to laugh doing that.

They are my FAVORITE to squish, you just have to be running dual hardeners or catch them by surprise. Definitely the most fun to squish since many of them think they can just sit there charging their forge gun, then you just truffle shuffle all over them and it's glorious.

My very first game out of Academy, I got squished by a DS.
I heard a weird humming noise, looked up and thought to my self "we have aircraft in this game?"

If you do end up having trouble with a forger on a roof. A lot of people don't realize that all you need to do is get behind whatever building he's on and then call in your DS. They usually don't see it coming in and you can catch them by surprise. A lot easier than flying to the building from across the map. |

My first death in DUST back in E3 was being squished by a dropship on Line Harvest near the ridge between B and C. |

My stories a little different. I was sniping on a tower [alone, no nanochive] fresh outta academy. I flew up there, landed, recalled, started sniping.
Next thing I know I here another DS. Its a friendly full of mercs with ARs shooting at reds. Sigh. Still hasn't changed. Anyway, as I get ready to leave I hear ANOTHER DS, its an enemy. Oh yeah, the blues dropped uplinks as well. Now almost the whole team is up there. So the enemy DS flies over us, I get a brief glimpse of a minja, he hot dropped out of his DS and remoted ALL OF US.  Don't remember his name.
Haven't sniped on buildings since. My first sighting of a scout, became my long road to my long career as a scout.
