Railguns have become OP...... again. Again, it's the ridiculously high damage it has. It seriously has more damage than the old compressed railguns had, but having a higher ROF than the old railguns. That needs to go. Rails need to have their damage reduced by 200-300 damage, and they will be not insane damagers anymore (especially if this happens).

But two shotting armor scrubs is Fun hell I even one shot a sica I wasn't even running a complete glass cannon either only 2 damage mods. Just lower ROF not damage because you'll have people do this... http://youtu.be/LrT4QuXA6zM

I was just trolling I know they need fixing but maybe a bit more heat build up and lower ROF. Only seen you twice once I had 2 rail tanks stalk me the whole game so I couldn't even call in a rail only having my missiles fitted they wasted an OB on me my shields ate it up the other time you were brawling a shield missile... you lost.

Yeah, but a mil fit rail also easily rakes out a hardened, skilled tank too. Missile tank has to dance around trying to avoid that repeating blast and hope the dmg mods and hardener times out. Due to terrain yuo can only do so much dancing. Even a gunnlogi with overdrive on can't maneuver around fast enough.
Skilless tanks with a CQ rail defeats the purpose of having anything else on the field from near to far and defeats even putting one sp into tanks.

if you have to charge everyshot for rails and damage mods lasted about half the time for rails. blasters stayed the same, and missle only last for one volley all problems would be solved with the GCs.
P.S. redline sniping with rail would go on a decline too

I'd support rails dealing less damage. Mostly because even at militia, they're putting up more than any blaster, and enough alpha to make a missile tank blush, with zero dropoff and massive range.
What's with the sudden CCP hardon for caldari tech? Most OP gun, best tanks, best large turrets, best small turrets, best ADS... Man, someone at CCP sure loves them some boxy design(I do love them, but I hate that everyone uses it simply because it's the best.)
Blasters need to deal more DPS at close range than railguns by a solid margin, and well, they just flat out don't, not to mention that the ludicrously high damage-per-shot makes non-shield hardeners almost useless.
If you hear the words "WORTH IT!" look about, something hilarious just happened.

Perhaps the problem isn't the 80GJ Railguns, but the fact that they are coupled with 30% Damage Modifiers.
Let's fix Railgun Damage Modifiers first, and then make further changes if necessary.
