very upset with you guys . why leave light weapons on heavys? thats what the commando is for isit. ???? who cares if we only have 2 weapons ......you are workn on more right ? .......sure i can attach a m16 to a tank but why would you when the primary weapon is alrdy there and soo much better .... damit ccp just dont understand your thinking on this game . im a true heavy and always will be |

One of the big positives about this game is the customization. Add more heavy weapons that have other uses than CQC and AV/FG Sniping, give heavies a wider arsenal to choose from. Man mounted small vehicle turrets?

Does it suck? kinda... but should the heavies have the choice regardless? yup...
There needs to more of a negative consequence in fire fights to having the lack of speed however.. like was always present in Pre Super-AA DUST.
Now that anyone with any competence at keeping their camera pointed in the general direction can track scouts to heavies indiscriminately and it rules any advantage speed would have in fire fights except getting from one engagement to another in medium distances if your survive.

I can't ask someone to spec into a suit and only have two weapons. I follow too many heavies around. Its how I make my living.
Note, pretty much every heavy I follow has an HMG or Forge, I don't follow the light weapon crowd too often.
xSivartx is my Heavy. There are many like him, but he is my own...
So, other Logi's back off, those are my Warpoints!

Dust is largely about customizing your fit and creating your own role within the parameters of your suit (CCP often uses the example of a heavy sniper). Removing the ability to equip light weapons on heavies would ruin that, and not make sense anyway "oh no, this weapon is too light, I can't carry it".
While a heavy or sentinel can carry a light weapon, they can only carry one. The commando can carry 2, so the heavy/sentinel no way takes the role away from the commando.

I make sure its a balac gar's
