Too many of you suffer from this.
"New racial suits are out, so i should get a refund on all my weapons and dropsuit command!"
That's just ridiculous. Dropsuit Command skills are the only drastic change that should recieve a partial skill refund.
The entitlement comes into play because you feel that you must use a weapon or equipment that has a bonus. And because you no longer have a bonus, you feel CCP should hand the weapons and equipment out to you for free without you working for it.
By that logic, anyone who has skilled into the Amarr Heavy Sentinel should immediately have gotten an SP refund the moment they put points into skilling it up. After all, it's suit that has a bonus for a weapon that doesn't exist, and a utterly useless 2% flat reload speed. So since it has no useful bonus's, they deserve respecs right?
The answer is no, because the Sentinel suit was still extremely viable even without having a bonus's to any of their weapons. Any Logi who put points into equipment will still have that piece of equipment working fine and dandy. Anyone who put points into a weapon will still have that viable weaponry to use. They will all still be extremely viable, and in some niche situations, more reliable then a gun with a bonus.
There will be a partial refund on dropsuit command skills, that should be a no brainer. Asking for more then that is you being greedy and self entitled. |

Have you read ANY of the arguments in favour of a 1.8 respec?
Because you haven't addressed any of them.
To your entitlement argument: what's wrong with feeling entitled? I skilled into a speed hacker, not a chubby chaser. So yes, I feel entitled to a dropsuit respec at the very least.

No, that's not the reason heavies should get a respec. Heavies had only 1 race to "choose" from for 2 years now. New suits are coming so people can FINALLY get to pick what they wanted from the start. Heavies and scouts deserve a respec imo.
People that want a respec for a weapon that got nerfed, shouldn't get one. I skilled into Flaylock, proto, max prof, all that jazz, but I don't care it got nerfed because like everyone else, I moved onto the next best weapon / FoTM.
Just my opinion, Heavies should get a respec.
